I've been interested in psychedelics for years and I've had many great experiences with many great compounds. I first heard about DMT through Joe Rogan and then I watched "The Spirit Molecule." I wanted to try this substance, but it wasn't available. I'd heard about DMT extraction, but thought it was beyond me. However, after dipping my toe in the waters via making dry ice hash and liquid psliocybin, I began to look into it. The Nexus is an invaluable resource and I read and re-read many of the threads pertaining to extraction and I learned/am learning so much. I enjoy learning about psychoactive plants and chemicals, Ancient Near Eastern languages and civilizations, travel, NFL, history, cool things, etc.
SWIM attempted to use Cyb's "Max Ion" TEK with 100g MHRB and yielded 1.815g.1. Ground the MHRB in a coffee grinder, covered with very hot water in a Pyrex dish, and then put it
in the freezer. SWIM did this freeze/thaw cycle 3 times.
2. Put 75ml of 5% acidic vinegar with 50ml of water to the MHRB and put it a heat bath overnight.
3. Dissolved 80g of deionized salt in 300ml of water and added it to the MHRB.
4. Added 70g of lye to 250ml of water and mixed well. Added enough water to make the total amount
about 1500ml and put it in a heat bath for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
5. Added 50ml of hot NPS (n-Heptane), mixed, allowed to separate 3 times, pulled and squirted into
Pyrex dishes. (Total of 8 pulls).
6. Allowed the dishes to pre-evaporate (35-45%) via a fan and windowsill.
7. Slow freeze precipitation process (room temp-fridge, fridge-freezer, 18 hour uninterrupted
freeze).
8. Decanted NPS, turned dishes upside down and placed them back in the freezer for 30 mins. Scraped
up crystals for further drying, weighing, etc.
9. Recrystallized also using n-Heptane and a similar long freeze precipitation cycle, but without
pre-evap and room temp-fridge. Instead, it is fridge-freezer a couple times and then another
uninterrupted freeze.
10. Did step #8 again and put it in an amber tinted airtight glass vial and stored in a cool and
dark place.
SWIM ended up yielding 1.815g of nice white (very potent) crystals. Any deviations in the procedure are SWIM's own and not the original authors of the "Max Ion" TEK. Any advice, corrections, questions, or comments to improve SWIM's procedure would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again!
