Thanks for admission to the group. Just some brief introductory info about myself, I am a criminal defense attorney and have a strong interest in working with plants in particular to assist people with drug recovery. I am a opiate addict who has been sober for several years, but I do use plants and other hallucinogens for spiritual purposes. I have participated in a number of authentic Peyote ceremonies with a Navajo Roadman, have used mushrooms, LSD, and extracted DMT on a few occassions, but am now interested in the workings of Ayahausca for recovery usage. Thanks again for admission and I hope I can make a positive contribution to the group.

Welcome! This is a great place to learn about entheogens, tons of info and a lot of members are scientists and chemists with an overwhelming abundance of excellent knowledge who take the time to share and educate and explain things thoroughly. I am sure you will find what you seek from this site.
It is great to have a legal professional on the forum as well, and I am sure you will get hit up for some information by a lot of people as well.
Glad to have you on board, it is a really special, amazing site full of respectful, intelligent people.
Just wondering - what appeals to you most about DMT and what are your thoughts/beliefs on "hyperspace"?
Take care, AcidShard

Thanks for the response. Yeah I went into law precisely because of my opposition to the drug war and the effects incarcertation had upon people I was friends with, their only crime being they enjoyed drugs. I do not do any recreational drugs personally, but I am a strong proponent that peoeple should be able to do what they want with their own body, so I am always willing to provide advice when I can.

This will be my first post, i have been using the dmt-nexus since 2012 and have found this forum and all of your posts very helpful with everything entheogen realated, i wanted to say thanks to all of you! In hindsight i should have joined years ago, but better late than never! My journey with entheogens began on december 21st 2012. Before this supposed dooms day i had never done any psychedelics. It wasnt the end of the world, but it definitely was the end of my world this night, a shift occured. I had seen a whole new side, a perspective of life, experiencing altered conciousness for this first time. 4 squares of LSD had me to the moon. This changed my life, and for the better. After alot of reading i was interested in seeing what DMT was all about. Before knowing the etiquette of deemster or even really knowing what it was, i ended up getting from some guy. Boy was it bad, tasted terrible, like it hadnt been washed. It hurt my throat and it was so ruff. Still, it was enough to show me something amazing, from then on i was fascinated with this molecule. I would get the most intricate fractals, and mandalas, with such vibrant colors. It wasnt untill maybe a year later when i had a break through, i think i had a tough time letting go of my body. It wasnt until i wanted to break through that i actually did. DMT for me has been completely mindbending. I learn so much from these plant teachers, ive had the most profound lessons from enities i cant even describe. I really like the way dmt-nexus worded it: "DMT is a mystery wrapped in an enigma, a mandalic gateway to the innermost depths of existance.. its what all religion points toward. It's what all beautiful art tries to convey. It's what Symphonies try to make you feel. DMT is your personal doorway, your connection to a filament of the Divine, to The God Who lives in you and I and everyone." Ive had some amazing experiences that id love to share with you all, as ive read so many of yours. I will save those for another topic to write about soon while im a newbie here. Dmt-nexus has been huge in helping me with my extractions, and with all your help ive been able to tweak these teks each time and mix and match them into a tek that has given me amazing results, i wanted to say thanks again for all that you guys/gals do. I look forward to being a member here and continually learning from all of you. Thanks for reading! Peace and love to all my fellow hyperspace travelers!

Welcome! I agree, the Nexus is an amazing, unique community and it has helped me immensely as well. God, 4 hits of LSD for a first time must have been quite the ride! Just a friendly reminder to watch the "paying for DMT" talk. The attitude section has all the guidelines for the forum. Attitude Page https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Attitude_PageIf the spice tasted that foul, it was probably just being burnt. Pyrolized DMT tastes terrible and loses a lot of its potency. It takes a few tries to get it vaporized correctly. Vaping Guide https://www.dmt-nexus.me...&m=792455#post792455I would be interested to hear what tweaks you made to the teks, as you sound like you had good success. I am still in the process of figuring out my favourite method of extraction, though all have been successful, there is always more to learn. Looking forward to hearing more from you, All the best AcidShard

Thanks! I thought in that context it wouldnt be bad, i changed it, thanks for the heads up And yea i dont know why this nice guy didnt just tell me to start with one, I had no clue, it was a spur of the moment kind of time. well it was fine, i will never forget that night/next day it was awesome! Walls looked like curtains blowing in a breeze, signs on walls started spinning in circles and rearranging letters. I listened to the same song for like 9 hours to keep me calm went on a nice long walk by the end. it was way too much for a first time but it was fun I could have been burning that dmt since i was new to it, but also ive noticed that unpure dmt smells worse, this stuff also didnt look that great to begin with. Yea depending on what teks you use, i can put what teks i mixed and matched for my last batch, it was the best one i have had to date

Yes, I have researched Ibogaine and honetly it is something I want to work my way into. A friend of mine is actually a "facilitator" of Ibogaine in South Africa, and he advise me to start with Ayahausca, and work my way up. Also, Ayahausca is much more accessible and since I am a member of the Native American church I am insulated from legal penalties with Aya, whereas the legality of Ibogaine becomes much more complex and risky.

We actually have some things in common that we will have to talk about at some point. My first peyote ceremony also occured with a Navajo medicine man, and I also have interest in these compounds in terms of healing those who suffer from addiction.
Related content: Quote:if you look at the pure statistics on alcoholism with LSD, uh, itās phenomenal before LSD was made illegal. Now I -- understand, I donāt believe these are chemical cures to drug dependency, that isnāt how it works. It works like this: you take LSD, youāre an alcoholic or a junkie, you take LSD, all your illusions and defenses are dissolved. You see that youāre killing yourself, that youāre a pathetic wretch and that youāre destroying yourself and the people around you and then you come down. And out of that experience you existentially draw in some cases the power, the self-will and the motivation to change your behavior -terence McKenna Quote:Psychedelic drugs and plants have a proud history of helping troubled people overcome alcohol and drug addictions. Some of the first LSD studies demonstrated that the powerful psychedelic drug had enormous efficacy in treating alcoholism, when administered in the proper environment. In fact, Bill Wilson, the founder of Alcoholics Anonymous, even suggested an LSD journey as the 13th step in his well-known 12-Step program for alcoholism recovery. Addictive drug and alcohol use has also been shown to be diminished by ayahuasca and peyote ceremonies among indigenous peoples in the Amazon and Central America. In light of this understanding, itās such a sad irony that psychedelic drugs and plants have been legally classified with dangerously addictive drugs, and unjustly grouped together with them in many peopleās minds--when, in fact, psychedelics generally help to discourage drug addiction. The late ethnobotanist Terence McKenna once said āThe pro-psychedelic plant position is clearly an anti-drug position. Drug dependencies are the result of habitual, unexamined and obsessive behavior; these are precisely the tendencies that the psychedelics mitigate.ā Some psychedelics almost seem to be tailor-made to treat addiction problems. The best example of this is a little-known African rain forest shrub known as āTabernanthe Ibogaā (or just āibogaā)--and its psychoactive component āibogaineā- http://www.maps.org/news...-hope-for-drug-addiction -eg
