I will be presumptive, and do it.
First and - to me - Importantly: any plagiary on my part is purely unintentional. I'm neither creative nor original, and I doubt I'll have anything unique to say to you. I may never have anything to say again, it seems there is so much content here on this wonderful website.
Secondly, and at least as important to me, a wish to extend my gratitude to the creators and maintainers of this nexus. Like I say, I'm sure it has been expressed before, and better, but there it is: thank you.
I ask myself why do I want to introduce myself. Well, if you generous folk did not want to know, you wouldn't mention the opportunity. I'm not generally outgoing, I'm happy to sit quietly in the corner and learn. But you offer the questionnaire and the essay, so I can at least offer those 2 things to you. Though I likely have little to offer you, I offer you this.
Now that I've unburdened myself, I'll try not to ramble. I'm sure others have much better tales.
I've been enjoying LSD for at least 45 years. I wish I could say I was religious or spiritual and that psychedelics help me gain insights. But I'm neither. I just crave the experiences, apparently. Maybe, at my age, I should be able to say something more specific.
I finally indulged in mushrooms within the last 5 years, and now I often am the designated 'group psylociber' (rhymes with philosopher) among friends.
And then, just about 3 years ago, I was introduced to the DMT. Like, I suspect, many of you, the place in my heart I hold for those responsible, is permanent.
I had barely heard of the DMT. And in an instant, I had to know, had to learn, had to explore. So, with google the only logical starting point, here I am, at the nexus.
Within a month of exposure, I had procured the root bark of the acacia confusa and had successfully completed Cybs Hybrid ATB Tek. I know it has been said better, many times, but the joy of extracting and enjoying the product is remarkable. Beginning from my very first indulgence, after every one of my experiences, and after whatever processing I can do of whatever I saw smelled heard tasted felt - I come back to a point. I have this overwhelming gratitude to the folks here at the nexus, for your generosity, all that you give, all that you share. I know others say it more eloquently, but my gratitude is genuine.
So anyway, over the last plus-or-minus 3 years, I've made a couple dozen batches of the DMT. First using the ACRB and happily being satisfied with the goo. Using Cyb's teks which are based upon a 50g portion of the root bark, I generally make 2 bottles of the soup and process a total of 100g. I get about a gram of the product, in total. I read others' accounts of higher yields, and I'm very happy for them, I don't try to account for all the variables in the yields, all I know is I'm keeping myself in supply and am able to share with some very close friends. I've recently begun using the mimosa hostilis, and have advanced to Cyb's Max Ion tek. This has brought me into the realm of the crystals, and for those of you who had started with the goo and moved into the crystals, well, I don't need to explain the good feeling that comes from this. Probably couldn't if I tried, anyway. And in the last weeks, I've been reading earthwalker's notes about additional processing of ACRB pulls to produce the crystals instead of the goo. Today I put a couple jars of ACRB with water into the freezer, and am excited to do the processing and extraction.
Before I post the pictures - again, you've seen them all many times - a couple of points.
Your questionnaire teaches so so so much. But one thing stands out, and that is, somewhere in the course of the questionnaire and the researching for it, the name Nick Sand came up. Thank you.
Finally, back to those responsible for introducing me to the DMT. My pictures below are my batch completed 2 days ago, and I had been promising some of it. Inside the jar is the gift for my friend, who asked wasn't that quite a lot, for a holiday gift? I told him I have to hold him accountable (and always will) for how he affected my life, and this is the only way I know. He looked at me for a long moment before breaking into a big smile. You kind of had to be there, but between two tight friends, we shared a moment and a bond.
So apparently this is my meager holiday offering to the nexus. Just some tiny way to try to hold you all accountable for how you've affected my life.
First picture is some of the finished product, beautiful and fluffy! Scraping with a razor was like using a snowplow...
Pyrex on its side - the only picture I took of the pan. It was still drying under the fan, wanted to document it.
The dry powdered bark - first time I've used the VitaMixer, it truly pulverizes.
Soup in the extraction vessels...
