My first official "Hello all" post to the Nexus. I've been scowering through countless hours of posts and reading as much as possible. What a great group/community here, and I have tried many only to find myself logging off never to return. The maturity and passion here is unlike any I have experienced, matches my own and I appreciate that. I have been answering the questions section for awhile now. Some stump me but others I can answer with a little searching... Seems like a dauntless task and there seems to be no end. I persist though and hope to finish them to complete another step into becoming a full member.

DMT tracked me down one night through a friend, a brother from another mother. I was at his house attending a rather large tripping party near a small lake on his property. As the night was drawing to an end and I was about to leave his girlfriend, him and I retreated to a small fire and he asked me if I wanted to try it. Of course I said yes. At this point in time I've never heard of DMT but I was quickly informed of its purpose and what my intentions should be. He loaded a glass stem and I took my first toke. Wasn't harsh, held it deep, and slowly out. Felt a little off and the noise coming into my earshot became different. I quickly was rushed into the second pull... Same as first but I tried for more inhale. By the time I got the last bit out of my lungs I was in a completely different headspace. My company respected my journey as they sat quietly which I so much appreciated then and now. The geometric shapes and Aztec colors flowed effertlessly about my vision. Dancing about like it had its own thought process, it felt me looking at them and would change direction and intensity as my interest became more peeked on the intentions of these visions. My friends' faces took on new shapes and meanings. I started to hear music and felt a great deal of love fill me up. My body was heavy and felt as though I didn't need it. By breath was taken away and I was covered in a blanket of a sensory overload that I felt familiar with and comfortable but yet so alien and full of information. I tried to concentrate but couldn't due to my astonishment. I closed my eyes and told them I loved them and watched as my reality started to slowly come back.

I'll never forget that night. It synergized well with the LSD tabs and shrooms I took earlier in the night too. Since then I was very curious and began my journey to understanding the unknown only to find there are others out there that share the same interest. I informed myself enough to extract my first mimosa batch, which was successful and the rest is history.

I just started a batch tonight with my first go around with Acacia from Hawaii. Soaking 200g's over night in distilled water to soften the material. Going to blend it in the morning and proceed with an A/B extract tomorrow morning with a backsalt and mini A/B defat and freeze. I'm excited again about revisiting. It's been several months of integrating and living life that I had a small voice or feeling to inform me that I need to revisit, there is something that needs to be shown to me. I've collected some caapi leaves to infuse which will be new to me. I'm also seriously considering making an aya brew in the near future. This molecule has me so curious.

So, thank you for reading and having me here. I'll try and keep up with all the new posts and try and add as much to the conversations as I can. I will also keep you posted with my Acacia extract and outcome with details and pictures.... That's if your interested.

Just to add before I drift asleep and dream of my good intentions of this next batch... The biggest peak of my interest is that the visions I seen and feelings I felt were unlike anything I experienced. They were deliberate and right in front of me. It wasn't something like any other psychedelic where the effects were questionable and distorted (did I see that or not). It was solid, high definition and had intelligence so to speak. Finding through a little studying that our bodies and minds are wired to receive these things interested me more. It's not just an accident that our bodies react to this molecule the way it does. How can an experience like that be so, well.... real in a sense. Like flipping a switch to a different reality that is equally as real as the one I'm so accustom to.

I have definantly noticed many distinguishing features of this community. The dedication to quality information and research, as well as the dedication to maintaining a productive community with high focus on education, being some of the most prominent. The attitude and norms of the site create a unique community where one can learn and grow. (Seriously, I look back to some of my early posts, and I think "I can't believe how little I knew then". My experience here has been one of constant progress, and has lifted me beyond where I could have gotten on my own.

The nexus is the only site (which I use that involves interacting with humans) that I use, I've never learned how to use Facebook, I still don't even really know what Twitter is, and browsing through other forums I find environments which would not be suited for my needs, which are primarily focused on research, rather than socialization or self-promotion.

First extraction with Acacia. I used 200 grams root placed in a bottle with vinegar and kept heated in a bath for 2 hours.



I separated into 3 collection jars and added warm naphtha to each. I let it sit in a warm bath for 45 mins as i rotated them periodically.



I extracted the naphtha and put into a glass pie pan. I did this twice to each jar, wrapped the glass pie pan and put into the freezer for 36 hours. This is what i pulled out to see.



In all from that collection weighed at 1.8 grams. 1 gram being fluffy white xtals and the .8 grams being a chunky hard yellow chunks. I put the white fluffy into a shot glass with 1 gram of 30/20 parsley/caapi making a 1:1 changa in 91% ISO. I'm not sure what i will do with the yellow yet.... either re-ex or just vape it occasionally.



I have one final pull sitting in the freezer from this batch that i will mess with in another 36 hours. So there still may be more to add to the total.

I am doing one more extraction today with 100 grams of Acacia that Earthwalker has procured. It involves a back-salt before basing, and a mini a/b cleanup before final extraction and freeze precip. I'm excited to see what amounts come from this TEK! It is in a warm bath now for 1 more hour. Using naphtha to get the extract out before the mini a/b and final extract. I will post pictures soon.

By the way, the DMT smell which I haven't smelled in awhile excited my brain so to speak. The first smell of it this morning made me have a faint flashback and upped my spirits. I have been playing tribal music and some shpongle while singing and talking to my work the entire way through the process.

Nice white xtals. I happen to like the yellow waxy stuff for freebase sessions and I know what you mean about that smell, sends strange feelings through me every time I catch a whiff, good ones of course but still strange

Just got done with a session of the yellow goodness and very colorful and interesting. No breakthrough but I wasn't shooting for that. I missed the headspace.

I introduced my brother to the other side after my trip today. I've introduced him to a lot of different things through the years. He definitely enjoyed it to say the least. What I have been explaining to him about DMT up till this point had no meaning. Now he understands and it's awesome.

Finishing the salt extraction now. Will report later.

I've never been able to properly explain the DMT experiance to those who have not consumed DMT personally, terence McKenna articulate s the phenomena below:


The DMT experiance does not readily translate into the code of human language, I often find myself becoming a stuttering wreck when trying to describe the DMT experience, and as a result most settle for models or metaphors which are "close enough", as the actual concepts can not be placed into language, this also makes it hell for anyone who is trying to understand exactly what it is you are trying to describe...

Personally I prefer the yellow crystals, but not the "waxy" yellow crystals. while these are yellow crystals, they still maintain crystalline structure and texture.

While residual lipids, oils, and misc. Compounds, may contribute to the coloration of a DMT crystal, DMT appears to have two polymorphs, one translucent, one yellow, both pure.



So the color may not always make much of a difference, also, residual solvent contaminants, NaOH, and other contaminants could exist in translucent crystals and would not be caught by the eye, so translucent does not always mean pure.

Some say some residual lipids and oils aid in the vaporization of the DMT, preventing heat from damaging the molecule and allowing to enter it's vapor state more efficiently in the context of how it would be vaporized during consumption, which may be why some claim to prefer the "waxy" or "waxy yellow" crystals

Just a vauge update on the qaulity of this batch just made into enhanced leaf. Three hits, first one made my lungs and chest rumble, the second made my eyes twitch back and forth and vibrate, the third hit I held in till I couldn't no more and all I can say is wow. It was so intense, vibrant, colorful, and full of feeling it made me tear up. I was completely taken away by the awe and depth. It was all encompassing, it consumed me... Eyes shut or open it was the same. I became it and it became me. I had shpongle playing in my headphones, Devine moments of truth. I felt the presence of a woman that was beautiful and caring. I felt I knew her. Amazingly amazing

When I came to my mouth was wide open and I kept saying WOW... There was no way to describe the power it had over me. 20mins later I forgot all but the feeling it left me with which was full of drive, ambition, love and power. The most intense to date for me.

I'm going to revisit tonight after the great day I've had so far and hopefully see what has been waiting for me to meet and see on the other side.

Results from the Earthwalker TEK using the backsalt and mini a/b at the end. 1 gram of white/clear xtals. That's 1% of 100 grams of bark. Not bad but I thought I would have a little more. Assuming I got 1.8 from 200grams that's about right for this bark.... I'm afraid I may have left some behind in the final base solution. Not all is lost though. Mixing this with 1 gram of caapi leaves! It's gonna be a great Xmas.




I also have a pan ready of some dark yellow and some red which I think is JimJam to scrape in a few days. The jungle spice will be new territory for me. I'm a little hesitant about it... Should I be? Anyway I'll post those pictures when I guess with it.

Nice work, results turned out good. Not a bad yield from Acrb, it varies so much on yield.

For myself the red stuff freaks me out, I have to be in a special mood to do it and that's not very often. Some people like it, personal preference I guess.

I have a question. I've noticed during an intense DMT trip I tend to move my head around which adds character to the trip and visuals. I've also notice when I sit completely still the trip takes on a new perspective. I'm not sure which one I like more. Thinking about it now moving around kinda keeps me grounded with my physical body but when I sit completely still I become an observer and/or a student so to speak. What do some of you do or observe or prefer during an intense trip?
