Hi Nexians!

Just wanted to sound off on the very heavy topic of reality, specifically, my take on the whole thing. Sorry for the long post, I have a lot to say about this topic. I put a TL,DR at the end of this for anyone that can't be bothered to read my long spiel.

Bear in mind, nothing I say is definitively proven. This is just me mouthing off about something that I know nothing about.

I think that everything is real. By that I mean literally everything. Any idea, any thought, anything ever conceived in a human being's mind. Yes, even the most ludicrous idea, even the delusions of a schizophrenic, it's all real. In some form or another.

I see it like this. Anything that is thought of has a substance, a form of some kind. It might not be measurable, at least not with the equipment we currently have. There's something there, is what I'm saying.

Now, me saying that doesn't mean that I believe ridiculous that have been proven wrong by science. For instance, me saying that I think that the delusions of a schizophrenic are real, I'm simply saying that they are real in that person's subjective reality. They are not real in consensus reality, and rightly so.

Another example, this time a completely irrational idea that has been soundly disproved by science (and simple observation) but that is "real" in my twisted and completely uninformed worldview , is the Flat Earth theory. Now, obviously everyone knows that the Earth is round. At least, everyone living in this 3-dimensional reality knows that. However to people living in cloud cuckoo land, the reality is that Earth is flat as a pancake. Some people believe that it's actually a dome!

With that I come to the topic of alternate realities . I fully believe that these are real. Parallel universes, alternate timelines, higher dimensions, the whole shebang. Tying this back to Flat Earthers and schizophrenics, I think that these people are actually creating parallel universes with their wacky ideas and that this is in fact what all humans do when they conceive of an idea, or imagine. They're creating something, somewhere.
