hi, nexus
i was a member before under a different username but i lost the details for that account and my circumstances have changed so i'm assuming a different identity.

i've been working seriously with psychedelics for months now, mainly DMT, incorporating it's lessons into my life. slowly i've been teaching others to extract, introducing my closest friends to the substance and spreading the meme slowly. it's led to some of the most touching experiences of my life (guiding others through emotional breakthroughs and life changing experiences is so fulfilling for me. they provide REAL insight and healing in a way that nothing else seems to)

slowly, over that time, i've quit my dayjob and found a little work writing about psychedelics and cannabis for a well-known headshop. i've lost friends and alienated family. before i was just getting high, now i've become a serious pagan, or gnostic or something on a spiritual quest.

i'm looking forward to sharing in knowledge with you guys once again. peace.

I'm going to be honest, this line kind of concerns me. I don't know what your family-life situation is, but in general, I think most of us would suggest that destroying relationships over drug use is kind of a bad sign.

It sounds like you've been using a lot, and feel like your on the trail of something very profound, but remember to be mindful - take time to integrate your experiences, and think about how your use is effecting your life and the people around you.

I know sometimes it can feel like you're just one trip away from enlightenment, or transcendence, or developing psychic powers, but if you slow your roll a little bit, you'll find there's a lot to be said for the gentle approach. The Middle Path.

Hopefully we here on The Nexus can help with that.

Welcome!

Blessings

quitting my job was a huge step. it was me taking a stand against a system i don't believe in. the new work is very fulfilling for me; sure i'm not earning as much money but i work at my own pace and i'm doing something i believe in. it's creative instead of mundane, my dad was a writer, he would have been proud of me
i didn't mean to set off any alarm bells. it's not really as it sounds. i used a lot when i first started (smoking dmt every day in varying amounts) but i've been very busy lately planning a (real life) trip and have only really taken a hit or two when administering it to friends. i haven't "broken through" in six or seven weeks.
thanks for the advice, though. well put. i'll try to remember it.

on another note, i drank a cup of shroom tea last night (my first time with cubes since before i started using DMT) and i was stunned by how similar the visuals are to the post-breakthrough fractals I see. every "special effect" i experienced was the same.

here's some photos of my buddy's grow op. i told him to start out with a cheap grow kit, and once it started pinning he bought a terrarium, mister, heat mat, and a raspberry pi to set the whole thing on automatic timers. i never saw one of these grow kits produce such fantastic results- he's a smart dude.

does anyone know what caused the marbling pattern on the top of these shrooms?
