I've been lurking on these threads for quite some time and recently decided to join.

Since childhood I've always been a seeker, and have spent most of my life searching for deeper and more hidden meaning and heart/mind opening experiences. I have always been very interested in "spiritual" things due to having had an extremely intense dream life (and sometimes waking life) wherein I experienced things no person or mainstream religion could explain or help me explore.

This fire for the Mystery of course led me to psychedelics. I consume them quite rarely as I find it takes me a couple years in between sessions (or series of sessions) to fully integrate my experience as well as prepare for the next. It is all very intentional for me and I don't have a driving need to consume large quantities, as very small doses of anything send me off and it takes me a while to fully come back and I am reborn each time.

I have spent time with marijuana, mushrooms, MDMA and LSD. DMT only once, where I passed out and came to not remembering anything, only to have memories occasionally visit me about my trip; nothing visual, just feelings. I plan to try again one day but am in no hurry.

Reading these threads have been SO intriguing to me, as so many descriptions of DMT journeys are extremely similar to my time spent in dreams, whether lucid or not. It's as if I have these experiences once every couple of months, along with the intensity and mind-blowing game changing revelations or feelings or meetings or what have you. It really makes me interested in the relationship between psychedelics and the dreamtime, and in particular DMT.

I'm excited to be a part of this great community that I've admired from afar
