Calea is very good though I haven't tried any others, goes great with DMT! I hear the tea is disgusting, don't mind smoking it by itself and have noted increased lucidity/change in dreams when smoked before bed. DMT = Dreaming Calea = Dream herb SMOKE MORE DMT, SMOKE MORE DMT NOW

I would like to know more about artemisia vulgaris..I was going to start a thread about it actually becasue I found whole lot of it growing near a local beach here..and I picked about an ounce..going back today maybe to get a few pounds hopefully. Has anyone used it for dreaming?..or know of a good dose to start with in a tea? Is it decent to smoke etc.. Long live the unwoke.

I have a decent amount of experience with Mugwort (artemisia vulgaris) buth smoked and in tea. Smoking mugwort is a PITA unless you have solely shredded leaves. The leaves burn fine, taste a little funky, and smell vaguely of cannabis (sorta kinda) when burned. Results from pure leaf smoked before bedtime was increased lucidity of dreaming as well as an increased ability to remember the dreams. Most of my experience is with mugwort that i purchased and appears to be, more or less, the full plant ground up. This is a true pain to smoke in a joint as it does not burn well at all as a result of it being incredibly hard to pull air through the joint (it's really not possible to roll a loose joint with this, trust me, the material just clumps up). When I smoke mugwort now, I generally use my bubbler. The full plant burns a lil more funky than the pure leaves, but is still an enjoyable smoke with noticeable effects on dreaming. As for tea, I have had success with it as well. Generally I would fill a tea strainer ball with the herb and then allow it to brew for a little while, maybe 15-20 minutes. Usually, if you brew it long enough it will become quite bitter (nothing bad at all if you've eaten cacti, personally i find it worse than ayahuasca, but i really like the taste of the ayahuasca i've brewed thus far) but you can use honey to counteract this. With the tea, it's very interesting, i notice a tingling in my spine that spreads out to my body, my guess is that it's the thujone entering the bloodstream. This also allowed me to enter a state of lucid dreaming and increased my dream recall. On the whole, I have used mugwort with great success to achieve lucid dreaming. Cool..gunna try it soon. I have lots of sage as well, am guessing the two are similar..both containing thujone.. Datura as well is sopposed to be real good in micro doses for dreaming.. I am thinking of trying a tea with some mugwort and 1 datura seed...and then eventually adding a few grams of caapi. I have found caapi in low doses good for dreams..cacao has helped as well but could make it hard to fall asleap if too much is ingested.. A base of caapi..like 3-4 grams(caapi activates DMT for me at only 10 grams), some mugwort and 1 datura seed as a brew sounds really interesting to me for dreamwork for now.. cebil/bufotenine as well gave me a strange dreamlife when taken at night after the main part wore off.. A small hit of cannabis in the middle of the night after sleeping for a few hours always worked wonders for me to bring on amazingly crisp CEV style dreams that can turn into lucid dreams..the reality of these visions on par with DMT and psilocybin..I think this has to do with endogenous visionary chemicals peaking at that time working together with the cannabis and melatonin release...simply smoking at any old time will not do it..I would suggest to abstain for at least a day and up to a week, and then smoke late at night while in bed in the dark for the full on effect..it can really be amazing. Another thing I will be experimenting with in the future will be low dose salvia quids while tired and falling asleap..actually maybe tincture..dont want to pass out and choke on a quid of leaf! My goal is to eventually come up with a single brew containg many different admixture plants that will be useful and consistant in it's effects on dreaming..the perfect dreaming potion that is undeniably not placebo and exerts a certain ammount of lucidity so that the experience can be worked with.. I guess hops is one to be explored as well..and yarrow..tons of that around here. Long live the unwoke.

I'd never heard of them being used. My next step in the exploration of dreaming herbs was gonna be some of the tribal african root I've been reading about, silene capensis. ^^hops is known to be a relaxant and stimulate vivid dreams in moderate doses..many people have described these types of effects from drikning a glass of beer or so before sleep..too much though and the alcohol blocks it.. Yarrow was used in european psychedelc beers, it contains thujone was used in european magic for many differnt things..sometimes placed above a sleeping person to bring prophetic dreams of future love I believe..though I am interested in it's effects when ingested..I have read warnings about yarrow though to not use to many leaves as compared to flowers becasue of something in the leaves..I have drank infusions of leaves and flowers together though with uplifing effects in the day time.. Long live the unwoke.

Artemisia vulgaris (mugwort) apparently also contains thujone. http://herbalextractsplus.com/mugwort.cfm"Some of the constituents included in Mugwort are essential oil (containing terpenes and terpene derivatives, such as cineol, camphor, linalool, thujone, borneol, etc.), flavonoids (quercetin), silica, antibiotic polacetylenes, inulin, hydroxycoumarins, resin, tannin, beta-carotene, fiber, calcium, zinc and vitamin C." ^^^^^yup, SnozzleBerry wrote:With the tea, it's very interesting, i notice a tingling in my spine that spreads out to my body, my guess is that it's the thujone entering the bloodstream. That's interesting about the yarrow being placed over the sleeping individual, they say essentially the same thing about mugwort. I've placed a bowl of it next to my bed on multiple nights, but I would say the results have been inconclusive, sometimes it seems to help, sometimes not. Maybe it's a more selective way of allowing the body to take it in if it's truly the right time? I know thujone is a toxin that does prevent you from entering "normal" sleep cycles, so maybe when it's left out your body can only make use of it if it coincides with periods where you've been getting proper rest or something of the sort. Also, I experienced an incredibly vivid, lucid dream about prophetic love about two weeks ago after smoking a Mugwort/Damiana joint...There's not much to relate from the dream, but the memory of it still sends shivers down my spine...It was hyperreal without question. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ zacatechichi has been represented largely as THE AFRICAN DREAMING HERB, but from the research i've done so far, capensis is the real, "non-commercialized", relatively non-popularized dreaming herb that's worthwhile. good call on that, definitely the way to go. I can personally vouch for Hops, Valerian root, And fresh lavender nuggs. I like to vaporize a little bit of all three, and then I get extremely vivid and crazy dreams. I also get mild, yet strong enough to notice, effects, mostly sedated but sometimes a weird cannabis feeling or two. I buy four ounces or so of fresh hops, and then I freeze them instead of drying. Whenever I want to vaporize, I just take out a frozen nug, so it is extremely fresh and potent.
