So I was curious how many of.you are parents? Has tripping changed from when before you were parents? I have a 3 year old girl and a 3 week old girl, I have not tripped in 8 years and got a hold of some mushrooms and I'm waiting (maybe procrastinating) for the "right" time to eat some. Being a father has been the biggest thing that has ever happened to me so I guess I'm wondering how much that will change my entheogenic journeys ? Just wanted to know what other parents here have to say about tripping pre/post parenting. Thanks one love

Hi Tello, I have 2 kids (11 months and 8 years) and to me 2 things have drastically changed since I am a father: 1) Finding the time to trip! Real bummer but before being a parent I could basically do it every weekend and now it's more like once a year 2) Letting go! When going deep I always get feelings of guilt about letting my kids alone when I'm dying, leaving this world. If find the responsibility that comes with being a parent doesn't make it easier.

The one psychedelic I find issue with using as a parent is vaped DMT. It's the only one I have "oh, I broke myself...the kids are going to have to visit in the asylum" moments with. Makes it hard to go back in. All the others are basically the same as pre-kids, except that I had a very long break from psychs (early or mid 20's until mid-30's), so the comparison is somewhat skewed as a lot changes in that much time. btw...Congratulations on the new baby! Young kids are basically tripping all the time in a way... There's nothing wrong with tripping a bit less frequently. And if you're sensible, tripping as a parent is an amazing thing... so I'm told “There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work." ― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli

Psychedelics have been an important catalyst in becomeing the father I am today. These tools help understand relationships and what an important relationship to understand. The connection between offspring and parents is the strongest. "Realty is a crutch for people who can't cope with drugs." -Lily Tomlin
The cosmos is viewed as a spontaneous act of ongoing creation arising out of a womb-like emptiness with unlimited potential.
