When I started researching african dream herb, calea zacatechichi, mugwort and entada rheedi one of my first thoughts was that if these herbs can help you recall your dreams more vividly I wonder if they can be beneficial to recalling and understanding a rather hard to make out DMT trip. I was curious if anyone who may have tried using dream herbs to improve their dreams also happened to have a trip during their experimentation?

I took a couple drops of LSD recently and coming down smoked some calea. The consensus in the room was that it seemed to enhance visuals but didn't change head space. Idk about recall with DMT though...

Do the experiment!

I find them incredibly helpful with substances like DMT and Salvia. They synergize very well. My theory is that things like DMT and Salvia have that dream-like quality to them. Like a waking dream. So if you are saturated with dream inducing plants or just combining the dosages together, DMT and something like Calea or Silene capensis, they do provide a sort of guiding force to the experience.

Salvia and Calea are especially good smoked together. The Calea has the effect of slowing the Salvia down a bit and making it more workable, extending the experience but also making it more manageable. Not on the same level as quidding but it can get very deep.

My changa blends almost always include oneirogenic herbs as I find they work well in concert with the harmalas to slow and enhance the experience.

When I work deeply with the Ubulawu herbs I find my DMT trips are greatly enhanced and the space is much more navigable. I do find my recall enhanced as well. Some of my best post-trip writings are from those experiences I've had while the dream herbs are in my system.

It's worth experimenting with Thumbs up I would suggest working with the dream herbs on their own first, however. I think some people tend to underestimate the power of their dreams and how profound of an effect these herbs can have.

I was thinking right along those lines Metanoia as far as DMT being linked to a dreamstate of sorts.

I had intended to try out dream herbs to effect my dreams since I typically have very bad dream recall and only a few vivid dreams a year or every few months. I planned on doing separate calea and Capensis trials and perhaps a mix of the two as well as starting a dream journal and taking steps to fuel the process mentally.

Glad to hear someone else had positive experiences, I'll definitely be giving this a go and recording results.

I had been taking silene capensis for about a week with noticable effects on dream recall but it was fairly mild. I was intending to take it for a full 3 months but took a break for about a week before trying dmt just to make sure there was no cross interaction my first go arounds.

Now that I'm not taking it it seems to have increased in its effects oddly enough. I had read about this happening before but it is quite the difference. Now, ever since I'm slowly getting used to dmt, my dreams have become very long. Each night they seem to be getting longer.

Last night I had a dream that seemed to last the entire night. Most of all, it was one cohesive story. I awoke a couple of times in the night for a moment and upon entering my dreams again the setting may have changed but the story was simply continuing naturally.

Once I've had a few breakthrough experiences I definitely would be interested in testing this as I already know that silene capensis has a pronounced effect on me. I recently acquired some calea zacatechichi tincture I'm looking for to trying out but I'm in no rush. Don't wanna pile on too much at once.

That sounds like a really great experience. I'm hoping to be able to pick up a variety of ethnobotanicals by the end of the month.
