I came to the Nexus hoping to learn and grow. A coworker and trusted friend gifted me with a small amount of DMT free base out of the blue, one day, when he decided I was ready to try it. It was about four months until I agreed with him that I was ready, being wary of its strength given some of the stories I'd heard.
I'd had experience with other psychedelics (mostly LSD and small amount of 2C-I-NBOMe), usually taken recreationally with the goal of just viewing my life and my mind from a different perspective. I knew this would be different.
Come the night that I finally decided I was ready I placed it in my pipe with a small bit of herb and did my best to use minimal flame. The smoke was rough, but I pushed through taking the biggest hits I could manage. I don't have words for what happened after that third hit, other than it lasted far, FAR longer that it was supposed to and was one of the most magical experiences of my life.
The following Monday I talked to him about my experience, and about a week later he once again bestowed upon me a gift, this time it was a small packet of seeds. That's what brought me here. I want to learn how to nurture and cultivate these beautiful little seeds, how to safely harvest small amounts once they're mature without killing them or causing them undue harm, and how to safely extract that magical little molecule called N,N-DMT. I have a fair amount of lab experience from colege so the chemistry side of things isn't overly daunting, though it's definitely going to be a careful process learning and refining my technique.
