Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

According to the MSDS you should rinse your mouth out thoroughly. DO NOT induce vomiting. Get some rest. Call for medical attention immediately if symptoms worsen. This is in reference to heptane. You wrote heptan, though. Did you mean Heptane?

"Ingestion: Potential for aspiration if swallowed. Get medical aid immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If vomiting occurs naturally, have victim lean forward."

that is a direct quote from the msds

Yes, heptane, i write it in polish.

i use heptane purity 99.9% for lab analiz.

I drink somethink about 1.5L water immediately after sensing solvent

I have cold sweats, very slight abdominal pain, headache and a slight tingling fingers.
that's very bad?

Hmm, well I am not a doctor but if you are not feeling well I would highly recommend getting yourself checked out. Or at least call the Polish version of "Poison Control"

Heptane is a powerful/dangerous chemical. It is better to be safe than sorry, correct?

I'm saying this as a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician - dealing with medical emergencies is my job.

Seek medical help, immediately. Get someone who can drive you to the hospital, or consider calling for an ambulance.

10 mL is not a lot, but if you feel bad, it is not worth running the risk.

There's no harm in going to get checked out by a doctor. With something so toxic it's better to err on the side of caution. It's not worth your health!

Medical emergency: what to do?

Never play with your health and you, Gardenic, were a fool at that time by taking this way too lightly.

The direct responses from The Grateful One and Nathanial.Dread were quite spot on. A good example on how to handle a situation like this.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

I know, I always follow the safety rules.

This time, a small mistake, a little rashness in action and light inattention, and disaster ready.

I had already phone in hand, with the thought, I will call in just a moment, right now, and then "cut off' myself completely.

Now I know, that even of a "small carelessness" could end up very badly.

I'm saying this as another nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician...

LISTEN TO THIS MAN! Seek medical evaluation and assistance as soon as possible after taking a toxin into your body. Drinking high-potency petrochemical solvent is just not something to ignore.

P.S... I hope you're feeling better, and that this passes with nothing but a lesson learned remaining. Be well, and take care of yourself.

We all deserve health, and we all deserve happiness. <3
