Hello,

I've had a lot of experience with extracting DMT, but until now I've never used heptane (Bestine) as my NPS.

Using Cyb's Max Ion tek, 500g ACRB, Tartaric Acid, NaOH, Sodium Carbonate wash, Bestine.

After decanting the heptane (which was very milky), I placed it in the freezer. After 8 hours, almost no precipitation had occured. Usually by this point, you'd see a significant amount of crystals precipitate from Naphtha, especially in a saturated solution. My only variable other than using heptane is that my pH meter broke and I was forced to use litmus paper (which is hard to read when stained with the basic soup). However, the solution is pitch black and to the best of my knowledge it's overbasified if anything.

My question is, has anyone else had issues freeze precipitating from heptane? From what I've read, it seems like it should have no issues.

If it's an issue I'll likely just run a mini A/B and repull with Naphtha so I can recover the heptane. I was mostly looking to use heptane to skip the recrystallization/mini A/B step that I usually do at the end to increase purity.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!
