I've read a lot of DMT reports where people mention seeing beings, so I wanted to try and smoke more and see if I could see 'them'. I put on a lemon jelly cd and vaped significantly more than usual. I closed my eyes and 'woke up' surrounded by complex geometric patterns and colors that were shifting and vibrating. There were two disembodied 'entities', one very large and one small, that seemed almost like Gods to me, they manipulated these geometric patterns to the music like they were dancing. They told me not to be afraid and to enjoy it. They seemed to have infinite knowledge, and told me the geometry I was witnessing was what gave rise to spacetime. This whole time I was just amazed and incredibly moved by the beauty of it all. They told me that I had to try and get other people to overcome their fears and come to this place. They told me a great deal more that I am not remembering well enough to write here. Also, as I came back down into my apartment I could still see this extra dimensional geometry through the objects and pictures in my apartment, it was very very cool. It almost seemed like the reality we live in is a 'simulation' that is built upon a "higher dimensional" universe.
After I came back down and thought about the experience I had some interesting ideas on how our consciousness works.
Over the course of the night I smoked dmt several more times to keep going back to that place, while less intense it was always incredibly beautiful. I think that the gods I encountered were a product of my imagination and only seemed to be outside myself due to the ego dissolution. Much of what they were telling me were things I'd realized on psychedelics before, or related to things I'd been reading about lately. Also the way they danced to the music was probably synesthesia of the music I was listening to overflowing into my visual field. Still I will always remember this experience, it was one of the most beautiful I've had. I think what I was seeing as I came back down was part of how my brain constructs reality from visual sensory information, giving the illusion that I was seeing through objects into another reality. We aren't normally aware of this process and take for granted that our brain constructs the reality around us through sensory information, but psychedelics seem to allow for us to get a glimpse at parts of this process.
When I've smoked dmt in the past I've usually gone to a place of pure universal consciousness which is awesome but this time was definitely different and pretty cool. I think Shulgin is right though, the ideas that come to us on psychedelics are often things we already know but shown to us in a new light, although I have had many new creative ideas on low doses before. They seem to help connect ideas that normal waking consciousness wouldn't otherwise connect, which is sometimes amazing, sometimes nonsensical. If this is true it makes it very important to allow a good amount of time for 'integration' and to process the ideas and their usefulness before accepting anything or tripping again. Regardless dmt always renews my love of the universe we live in. Peace and love!

There is a contradiction here in your writing. On one hand you were being told a variety things relating to what [i[you[/i] were doing and what you should be doing. On the other hand, you attribute the entities as a product to ego dissolution. I'm not sure that ego dissolution was at play here from the way you are describing things. From my understanding and experience of dissolution, if you are still able to contemplate yourself or understand that there is a you in the first place that needs to do anything, then you do not have ego dissolution. When I have ego dissolution, I don't know my name, history, that there is a me that exists, etc...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to quash what you're doing here. It's natural for you to have an experience, and try to make meaning out of it, and formulate theories, etc...At the same time, just realize that you have had but one encounter with entities thus far. Part of what makes DMT one of the trickiest beasts to pin down is the variety it has to offer. Another entity encounter may be likely to play out quite differently, demonstrating completely antithetical evidence to that which you have already experienced. Maybe it would be on the next encounter, or the third, or the two-hundredth. I think you would find it wise to reserve judgment until you have sufficient experience to notice trends, and even then to realize that trends are frequently broken.

Yeah I agree with you that I could have different experiences, this was just my interpretation of this one experience. I'm sure there are other 'entities' my mind could encounter if I breakthrough again. Most of what I've written is my interpretation of the experience. While I was having it I did not know who I was or that I had a body or life on Earth, it sounds weird but it seemed like another place at the time. I still think it was all produced by my mind and that what I experienced as other was just a projection of my subconscious.
