Over the last months I have been extracting Alks from different varieties of Caapi Banisteriopsis .
From 500g of Trueno vine I received 2 grams of Alks. The part of the vine that I used for this extraction was mostly kind of burl and springy corners.
So over the last few days I extracted from 500g of the same vine but the compact uniform part of the vine. I received 3g Alks.
Something seems a bit weird though, my latest 3g extraction shows the Alkaloids to be red. When I shine a torch on the Alks they turn light cream/white as you'd expect them to be.
Also the red Alks are super fine particles which makes it an effort deal with as it just wants to fly off into the air.
Does anyone know why they are red?
Maybe I've done some thing to them unknowingly?
Cheers
