The following is part of a conversation between myself and a friend of mine. I thought it was interesting enough to share.

Consciousness to me is layered depending on an individuals own concepts, experiences and personal growth. If one believes that such things are possible then one would say their consciousness is layered, expanded. Where in another case those who dismiss all things outside of their own logic as impossible has not the sufficient layers of conciousness to actually grasp the idea presented. It is not that they are dumb or slow but its something within the subconscious that prevents one from thinking outside the box. whether fear or frustration. Deep or simple thoughts breeding a simple existence this is the difference between open and closed minded folks. I also think that conciousness bridges the subconscious with ones honest reality.

I stand in front of a mirror with my reflection and on the other side is a clone of myself standing on the back side of the mirror with its own reflection. I represent reality while the clone is my subconscious. The mirror is an active consciousness and works as a median between our little world in each of us and the world around us. If the consciousness is warped then so is the mirror and I think that is one way one can lose either all senses of themselves or lose touch with reality in indefinitely.

But I have experienced the world from beyond my own perspective. I tell myself I have bridged the gap between my own consciousness with the sub conscious of the physical world. I have felt the heart of creation and it speaks only in truth which has lead to some of my most profound epiphanies. When one can venture beyond themselves, then the universe will embrace the brave soul as the younger siblings. Under developed and frail is the folly of man, yet our courage and curiosity for things most consciousness can never comprehend. Never stray long the shift for one may never return whole.

There is no mirror.
