A New York Times article some might find interesting:

Nice to see some rationality in the incarceration industry.

I'm reminding of the Dharma Brothers.. Look for the movie on netflix.

They weren't using ayahuasca, but they were essentially teaching the prisoners mindfulness meditation in retreat format... Their success rate as been pretty impressive in my humble opinion.

Image if these two worlds collided? Perhaps prisoners could have an initial reboot with ayahuasca and the follow up with mindfulness training... Or maybe it would work better in reverse?

So much potential once we start realizing that inmates are still real humans.. and as such they have an entire spectrum of good and bad. If we can use empathy and compassion to try and understand the source of their ills then maybe, just maybe we can actually have a shot of providing a space for them to rehabilitate themselves. Because real rehabilitation comes from inside the prisoners.
If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.
