I was wondering if the nexus could be considered as a religious or spiritual organization and if Spice would be many nexians sacrament? i was wondering if the nexus took such a path if they could get recognized and protected by the government if the nexian members use DMT as a sacrament?

this would give many people the freedom to use DMT in ceramony and we could at least strive for using psychedelics for spiritual purposes; it's close to legalization but more oriented towards users who feel spiritual about their etheogen/spice use.

i know that alot of people are at the least can be very spiritual and mystical around here; and i was wondering if we could have a section of the website dedicated to the religious use of etheogens? or is there a part of the site already like that which i don't have access to yet? i would be interested in that section because i want to use DMT spiritually and i don't know where a UDV church is and such. i plan on trying to join ONAC to use peyote as a sacrament; personally i hope to introduce salvia, ayahuasca/DMT, and peyote into my practices.

i feel that my practices don't harm anyone; not even myself.

there was another thing i wanted to ask though; do you feel that DMT, salvia, or ayahuasca churches could gain more acceptance as legalization becomes more popular; and therefor would that make it easier to practice our beliefs?

i am sorta tired of having something i believe in taken away from me. i want the right to use something that doesn't bring me harm and that gives me the most insight i've ever experienced. i want to be able to respectably use these etheogens for the mystical experiences they induce; not for recreation.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

^ Maybe this is what you're looking for ?

Not sure how much of a legal help that would be though. I suggest also checking out this thread regarding legality issues:

Personally I don't think legalization should come based on spiritual use, but rather on the basis of freedom of consciousness/cognitive liberty. If a person wants to use psychedelics for artistic inspiration, self-development or introspection, therapeutic use, bonding with friends, enjoying nature or just for fun, I think they still should have just as much right to do so as someone using for spiritual purposes.

Of course we could broaden the discussion of what's 'spiritual', but if we're talking about legal exemption, which would probably restrict the definition of spiritual, I'm not sure it's the best way to go. Better that than nothing I guess, but I'd say let's aim for the moon Very happy

I would leave if it became this.

I require no church, and I don't believe in the necessity for religious organization to legitimize my use of entheogens.

We are simply peers. Nothing more.

Your a heretic, nothing new. Orthodox society has been grabbing us by our cosmic ballsacs(or w/e parts you might have..use your imagination) for thousands of years.
Long live the unwoke.

I personally just want a group that isn't strictly online based. although i find DMT nexus and bluelight wonderful places to discuss my experiences it lacks that person to person contact that can help me to integrate and understand my experience better.

by "church" i guess i really mean "group". technically i could still do this regardless of the legal problems; but going about it legally would help with my sense of security.

also by no means do i mean to imply that the DMT nexus should become a religious organization; but i was wondering if members within the nexus were taking it in this context and whether or not others would want to go down that path.
