Hello people of the Nexus Very happy
I'm Violet, a user mainly from the Shroomery's mushroom cultivation forum.
There I'm known as the single largest proponent of the second newest mushroom cultivation technique introduced to the public dialogue - a technique originated by Anne Halonium and spun by myself into a more introductory yet fully expandable form - not without some level of controversy, despite being a prominent and mostly respected member of the forum there.
That tek is posted on the Shroomery HERE

Anne and others have done me the honor of "naming it after me" to the title of V-Tek, but I always hope that a more apt name for the tek appears to take over! I'll be the first to change to it and stick to it if so.
In the meanwhile, the most brief technique-described name I can come up with is watered whole grain cakes.

Though I have several noteworthy posts on Shroomery's cultivation board,
I feel strongly that my most important contribution is my culturing technique.
From the perspective of my whole grow methodology as I do it, Violet-style as it were, the "V-tek" is little more than a fully expanded version of the "grain petri" tek with x4-5 the substrate loaded per container, cropped in a fruiting chamber of most any sort.

I'm here on the Nexus in part to find a new (and mentally freer) port into which to sail my ship of cultivation techniques, experiences, and paradigm developments...

... But to be honest, my main inspiration here is to continually nag Anne into posting her complete series of Pom teks!

I have learned the most basics of her Poms 1 tek, and know roughly the gist of Poms 2 with extremely limited experience.
In an attempt to bring understanding and some excitement to the progression into these teks, I created this simple and brief introduction to poms 1 posted on the Shroomery.

My little buddy is this All-American 10qt pressure cooker! Cool

I'm greatly looking forward to joining in on and helping to further develop the mushroom cultivation community here!

Love, and Light, to you all.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Thank you, jamie.

I feel that I should also add that I have done several DMT extractions from Mimosa bark powder, using a kitchen-style A/B extraction. I got pretty good at it, and was able to get a mostly pure result with continued concentrations and precipitations.

So I have experience both extracting and using DMT, although it intimidates me and I have only once gone beyond a small dose!

Welcome!

Pity that you are intimidated by DMT. I guess I would also have been intimidated if I had done much research before attempting my first breakthrough. It's not that knowledge is bad for you but if it calls upon certain types of paralyzing fear then it's not productive... For me this is why little kids learn faster how to do "dangerous" sports like skiing, they dont stop to think of the bad outcomes while most adults think of that first.

Could you tell a bit more about that one time you went beyond a small dose and why you are intimidated? The reason I ask is that I find it extremely difficult to introduce people to DMT (and im talking about people who want to try not just anybody, im very careful with this topic as I believe psychedelics are not for everybody). There's always the question, how much do I tell you beforehand...

So I guess this will end up being my trip report Pleased

You're partially right, it's in part because of how intense I have heard/read experiences can be.
Not only that, but I certainly have had experiences of how intense it could be first-person.

Despite my own bit of reservations, I have convinced many people averse to ANY drugs to at least taste DMT. What I told them is some of the regular stuff: that it's very quick and you don't have time to do anything stupid, that the experience is powerful and most people won't even get up to do something wild, that it's a natural chemical within the human body and most life on Earth that's experienced to some degree every night during sleep, and that countless people of all walks of life have reported almost exclusively wonderful and empowering experiences.
Within reason of any given person's mindsets and how much it may shatter their worldview in a negative way, personally I do actually believe that "psychedelics are for everybody", at least in the case of DMT. I believe that everyone or most everyone can handle some level of the experience, that their experience of their own mind and spirit is incomplete in this life without it or something like it (including delving into meditation practise), and that for that matter DMT is "for everybody" in the sense that everyone experiences it countless times throughout life - albeit not to the conscious human mind.

I've had numerous experiences with it myself, most of which giving me incredible closed-eye visuals, beautiful or novel open-eye visual effects and intense color enhancement, and always an intense 'peaceful' feeling as if I have succeeded in a strong, even long, meditation, with a transcendental feeling and a seemingly natural inclination for higher philosophy and spiritual thought.

Late one Christmas eve a few years back I pretty much forced myself to go at it as much as I could manage, only having a little pipe with which to do so as usual.
I was alone, as I felt I should be for it. I was glad of it.
I listened to Mir by Ott for a while, and when the most welcoming and warm song (Aubergine of the Sun) rose to one of the best parts IMO, I went at it.

Because of how quickly it comes on, and how I am overwhelmed with this desire to not be distracted from what I'm already experiencing with the trifles of trying to get more, I always find myself kindof naturally un-inclined to try to force an even larger dose.
I did do my best at 3 tokes; although my throat is kindof a puss with vapor like that.

After seeing the strong blues, indigos, and violets that the ambient lighting around me was enhancing, I closed my eyes. Interestingly, either by my difference in attention at that dose or for a lack of them, I did not notice or see any of the usual colorful fractal/kaleidoscope patters I'm familiar with on psilocybin or DMT.
Instead I felt like I had an internal communication with a consciousness that simultaneously felt like mine as well as "not", as it felt as if "it" were "speaking" to me in an almost informal I/Thou way.

Collapsed into pathetic words as best I can, the brief "mental" communication went as follows:
"Hello and welcome back again.
What is it you wish to experience?
There is this... (My inner sight was instantly filled with visualizations of beautiful spiritual landscapes of other worlds, with strange but clearly joyful beings freely roaming)
This... (I felt a powerful energy through me as my mind's eye saw nothing but what I can describe as a brightening clear light, an experience I have never forgotten, with a knowing that I was the light and came to this life from a center source of unison and power)
And of course, always this. (I experienced endless void, an incomparable silence and emptiness, yet a tremendous and indescribable vibration underlying my own experience of it)

... But you know all that, don't you. You've seen it all before.
And you have come to where you are now for good reason."

I opened my eyes, and despite the normal psychedelic glow aftereffect, everything was normal.

So that's part of why I've not gone back to it to that degree since then. I sortof got the feeling from it that there's little point, so-to-speak; that the true psychedelic experience is being this human in this life, and that in good time I'm giving my consciousness all of the experiences it can possibly and does imagine.

This is pretty much what I also tell so far, plus that they should not try to control the experience and that, no, you are not pissing or shitting your pants so dont pay attention to that... Razz

I absolutely agree that people that go to the grave without having had a psychedelic experience miss a huge part of what meant to be human. I also agree with you that everyone can handle some level of the DMT experience but I am not so sure that everyone can handle a proper ego stripping breakthrough. They will get through the experience, sure, but how much will it cost them to process it? Will it be worth the emotional and psychological effort? Thats my biggest fear... I dont want to emotionally ruin anybody.

This is completely understandable. So far I have had 2 breakthroughs (both really positive) but I am not looking to have another one yet. I still feel that I can learn much from these two experiences and I do honestly believe that it might come a moment when I feel I do not need to go to the other side anymore. I mean, our lives occur on this side and we get a freebie to take a peek of the other side. IMHO we are not supposed to stay on the hook but be enriched by the psychedelic experiences to make our lives on this side better. Some people need a constant reminder some are done after one experience... If you feel you had enough then you had enough and there is nothing wrong with that.

Thanks for sharing!

You mean like a cup of pf sub in a quart container?
You posted in the new thread I made focusing on invitro straight grass seed that way- I had thought that PF sub would work similarly to that! Forget the injection ports, just squirt in from under the edge of the lid!
Best of all, they could be steam sterilized!
Glad to hear you're doing that.
Perhaps I could ask, "commission", you to photograph and somewhat document it? If so, I'll include the obvious instructions of how to do it in that post, and make it officially Our tek instead of Mine. Great beginner tek, in two stages! Or of course you can post it yourself, not as if you need me to tell you that. Might would be good for you to. Your thoughts?

just added coir in right amount as a water res. I guess it's kinda like a muda bottle but pf cake style, but meant to be cased.
I figure the coir holds water well so output should be good. But mainly so you could make a whole bricks worth and freeze leftovers so the majority of work could be done in one go.
My current mix does 10 pp5's. a whole brick of coir + all other ingredients will do 40 pp5's.
It's meant for small scale. 10 cups ( my pc fits 10) or less at a time, could do more easily.. That way your leftovers just need to be thawed. gallon zip loc bags work for left overs. I put about 1.5 cups of sub in each pp5.

It's a step up from cakes and requires a bit of SAB experience. It's like an introductory to v-tek. Can be done the same (no shake, consolidated, bottom watered, cased) but with the ease of cakes. I just need to do a few runs and make water adjustments for use with LI/lc/slurry. RGS could work as a master grain for this i'd assume. I'll try that too.

Also I don't injection ports. I do modify the lids with ez-felt sometimes depending on what i'm doing.

I'm also working on an easy slurry without the need of a blending unit. I just started so I won't go into detail lol. It can be made in big batches and frozen also. Might also be able to fruit directly off it and bottom water. We will see. Early speculations lol.

I'll be documenting this and we can work on stuff. I think it would be fun!

Wow, such a powerful message. And also more or less the same conclusion that I was beginning to come to as of lately.

Indeed.
And to follow thru with my related answer to Varox, that's in part what intimidates me about DMT - that I had a rather short and simple experience with it. No breakthrough, no entities, so forth.

I know that there is more I could learn from it, and certainly there is endlessly more to experience with it. That's what intimidates me, the difference between learning a lesson and going for a ride so-to-speak that could chip at my mind's stability for this reality.

To paraphrase Terrence McKenna, a union with the light I could handle (kindof) - but a romp with entities beyond imagination might leave me in quite a different place.

M_J, so you're using coir with brf? Not pf-sub exactly, just pf-style nutrition source?
I talked to Muda/Pasty about that a while ago... Wanted them or SOMEONE to try it with the bottle tek as per.
I think there will be advantages; see here: http://www.shroomery.org...Number/21188341#21188341

Honestly, despite all my musings, I have never thought about steaming containers of grass seed. Probably because I still don't think it would work at enough of a success rate, but if ANY grain could do it it'd have to be grass seed!
Blackout on Shroomery is big on microwave use for mycology. He has prepared and used microwaved grains. My bet is that GS would do better than any.

Well its brf, verm, coir. I could work just coir and brf though.
Standard pf tek with maybe a bit more verm to fluff it up so you can put a bit more
into the quart containers.

I'll look into it.

I read that post. These are pint jar brf's invitro/bottom watered.I'd assume the same performance in pp5's
