Hello all, I have been experimenting with salvia for about two months now. I would like to state that salvia reverse tolerance is real, I have experienced it.

So, I believe research needs to be done on salvinorin a potency. This is because most, if not all, sources say that salvinorin a is active at doses as low as 200mcg (micrograms).

But because of the reverse tolerance I have acquired, today I have achieved a light level 2 with a dose as low as 75mcg. Approximately.

This being said I think more research needs to be done on potency, accumulation of sensitivity, brain chemistry while using this drug, and brain chemistry after continued use of this drug.

I will continue to ingest my salvia, and will continue to build up sensitivity. My goal at the end of my "experiment" will be to achieve the same effects (light level 2) with only 10mcg of salvinorin a.

I would like to see how low the dose can go but I don't have the proper equipment. This is all being done with a 200g-0.01g scale and averages on salvinorin a content of plain leaf.

I hope we can discover something new about this amazing plant. Just for fun, here's a picture of my salvia twins and some cuttings.

Don’t underestimate placebo effect when you’re testing subtle effects of very low doses.

A better test would be to examine subjective effects at a standard moderately strong dose that can be easily measured.

I agree with gibran. That's how I really noticed the reverse tolerance effect myself. I was measuring doses of what I considered to be a moderate-strong dosage of extract on a regular basis, and the subjective effects became successively stronger over time. After realizing this I tapered the dosages down because much less was required to get to the same place and the dosages started to become overwhelming.

This reverse tolerance effect seems to be permanent, at least in my case. I stopped smoking any Salvia for a full five weeks recently and picked it up again, same dosage as before the hiatus, and the experience was equal in intensity. I have been a regular smoker for years, which I am probably right in assuming is very uncommon, but for my tolerance to stay at the same level for over a month without even one dosage is proof enough for me that I will retain this low tolerance possibly for the rest of my life Smile

I would be greatly interested in any scientific studies which would look into brain chemistry or other factors that could explain this reverse tolerance effect. I would even be willing to volunteer for such a study Very happy
