Hi, I'm looking some information about inositol or maybe other supplements (i.e. acetyl-l-carnitine = ALCAR) and reversing long-term tolerance for psychedelics.

I want to ask some specific question in private message to person which was active on other forum, but now I've found him here; May I please for authentication? I (and my girlfriend) have long-term cross-tolerance for all tryptamines/acid/mescaline after taking 5-meo-mipt few times in a row for two or three times - nothing special and rather lower doses. Some user reported inositol working and I want to ask some questions about dosing etc.

Maybe someone experienced very long (about year but with tries every month) tolerance - for shrooms, lsd and other serotoninergic substances?

Thanks.
J.

AFAIK inositol increases striatal D(2) receptors which is only one of many receptors DMT acts on. So people use inositol to reduce amphetamine tolerance as they work on dopamine receptors and not really psychedelics which work on 5ht receptors. Inositol only had a slight, albeit insignificant, increase in 5HT(2) receptor density in lab rat studies.

If you can afford the extra money for supplements they can give mild benefits especially ALCAR which raises natural acetylcholine levels which could make trips more coherant or help with concentration. But it will be a subtle effect... It's more to aid in memory and physical activity(weightlifting) than anything.

I have problem with cross tolerance after taking 5-meo-mipt and 2cd with redosing, problem occured for 2 persons. We are resistant to all serotoninergic psychedelics from almost year (but never had break longer than 1 month, so now we have longer break) - we've tried shrooms, up to 8grams, lsd (up to 2 good blotters), mescaline. also MAL not working.

Now I'm taking some supplements: ALCAR (up-regulates mglu2 receptors, forming hetorodimers with 5ht2a , that's mechanysm of working of common serotoninergic psychedelics), Inositol,, B12/folate/b6 and magnesium occasionally.

BTW. Long-term tolerance may be connected with insulin resistance, that's my observations - based on fact, that I know some person with natural high tolerance (4g of shrooms without serious visuals) - have insulin resistance from previous obesity (now he's in good shape). Also I know two other persons with unusual high tolerance after too much amount of psychedelics.

Next in queue are some other substances: NAC, hypericum. Last in queue I'll try maybe q10, oleamide, quietapine. I know that up-regulatiung or recovery of neurons could lasts i.e. for half a year, so I'm trying to not take all in one turn.

If you want some more info, don't afraid to ask. I.e. ALCAR seems to bring back my HPPD, which disapearred completely after such issue with 5-meo-mipt. Now I have it in my level before that. Smile

BTW. I'm waiting for unlocking my account, I want to ask particular user some question about inositol - he claimed on another forum, that it works for long-term lsd tolerance.
