I searched for Tibetan bowls but I guess no one has posted about them. Would any of you like to share your experiences with tibetan bowls or crystal bowls? I just purchased a very nice one and had a great meditation session working with it, I feel the vibration in the center of my head. I used my guitar tuner to figure out the tone and it is an A flat or G sharp tone which apparently effects the throat and third eye chakra. I know a tibetan bowl is multi-tonal but I do feel the vibration strongly where my pineal is. Next session I play I will combine it with a visualization meditation- visualizing the vibration of the sound cracking any calcification of my pineal glandSurprised I am looking forward to combining it with some medicine soon, I will post my experiences with that synergy.

My one experience did include many singing bowls nearby in the room. I was not able to stay on my back with eyes closed as suggested, maybe from this being my first experience or from having yerba mate earlier in the day. Instead I found myself sitting up and moving around a bit while singing; I bumped into a few of the bowls and they began to ring. My state of consciousness wasn't such that I could stop to sense what they were, there was an strong focus on continuing to sing.

I would definitely encourage you to explore with them as well as your own voice and voices and instruments of others if you will be exploring in a group and it feels right!

I always thought that they were cool until I started using DMT, then I decided that they were necessary. Lol. I had always liked to play with them when i'd seem them in stores, but could never justify buying one for $60. Then little brother and I began using pretty regularly and found meditation before the session to be very important. So we went out and bought one and then later a second singing bowl.

Sometimes I like to play them, but normally I really enjoy using them as bells. they always sit atop my alter right in front of where I meditate, but it's rare that I "sing" them. I used to be in the habit of taking my hit, immediately setting down pipe and lighter, then reaching out and chiming both bowls (different sizes and pitch) at the same time. They would harmonize, and before the ringing of the bowls would have finished, I'd be *gone*. It became my welcome into the dimension for awhile. I don't always do that anymore, but the bowls are always there at my alter and I do use them as bells almost daily in my meditation.
All of my posts are entirely fictional. I am a writer, and as a means to research the life of a fictional character that I'm writing about, I post on the Nexus to get into character. In real life I have no interest or interaction with mind-altering substances.

One thing I will offer here, is that ime the simple looking plain brass bowls produce a sound of much great quality compared to the more expensive bowls with patterns and buddhas on them etc...those ones seem more for show. I used to sell singing bowls years back at some festivals at a friends vendor booth. He travels through Nepal and India during winters and comes back to be a merchant here for the other half of the year..so I got to play with a lot of different bowls and have a couple of them. I use them a lot, but tbh the nice bowls with the details on them etc I am thinking of using as decorative pots for plants or something. The cheaper simple bowls just resonate much better. I suspect that those bowls are the ones the monks actually use themselves etc...

I get nice brass bowls from Nepal for like 15 bucks when I see my friend in the summer..so this year I will probly get another 4 or so. It's become the one tool that I always use with tryptamines. The markup on bowls at new age shops etc is unjustified when you find out what suppliers pay for them overseas.
Long live the unwoke.

unfortunately I don't own one and have never used one on tryptamines, but the crystal bowls are so awesome. I got to play with one for a while at a friends place, if price isn't an issue or you are looking for something special, I think those are the way to go.

Once after a recording session, I began to utilize the sound of my friends Tibetan singing bowl. After a few moments of the sound resonating, I grinned and burst into joy Laughing but the sound was beginning to be quite meditative and was nice to relax with after reggae session. Pleased

I have a tibetan bowl that stimulates the sacral chakra. Its great, although, if you are just simply playing for the sake of it, rather than sending a deep intention out into the universe, i find it can quite easy create an imbalance within the energy flow. I was horny for weeks on end because i over stimulated my sacral chakra, including confusion of my own sexuality and whether or not i was a bisexual, gay or hetrosexual. Play with care Smile

As with crystal bowls, extremely beautiful, i've experienced a sound healing with them, very very powerful stuff, shattered my energy body to rebuild a new one of loving kindness. Its better to have a set rather than a singular bowl, you can then create a stimulation of sound which vibrates all chakras, which will help the flow of pranic energy throughout the entirety of the body, ultimately leading to feeling whole, loving and compassionate. Enjoy!

They are amazing! My friend used one on me when I was coming up on cacti and it diminished the anxiety completely! I had my eyes shut but could clearly see him over me drawing out multicoloured spirals from my stomach region. Incredible.
