Hi,

I´ve been around here quite for some time and found all the informations that I ever needed for my first ayahuasca preparations.
The idea of Ayahuasca is in my mind for more then 10 years I guess, but I just started recently to experience my own brews. The experiences so far come with some questions that I would like to discuss with you in a more personal way than just reading through other peoples posts. This is why I´m here. I really like to contribute and share some thoughts in this wonderful community.
I also want want to mention my professian as a plant physiologist with a strong analytical background in HPC and LC-MS. I know here are people around that are interested in these things and I´m happy to discuss and share experiences.
I always had a love for nature and teacher plants and especially for mushrooms. Starting in my early twenties with some really nice mushroom experiences it took me 10 years more to get back to these molecules, now with another point of view and another intention.
Since october I had 3 journeys with caapi and mimosa (the last one was with mimosa and some chaliponga) that all were interesting in their own ways. I started with low doses and I´m still working on my brewing technique and dosage. I´m doing this on my own with the strong trust and the feeling that this is my way and that it is good to do it like this.
During my last experience I had the most intense feeling untill now. After quite some time without feeling any effects I lay down again and found myself floating around with some very nice closed eye vision and a wonderfull feeling of being absolutely weightless, my body travelling with the music. I´m still not sure what is the way of navigating through this. One question that came up, is wether one should try to think during an ayahuasca experience? Should one try to make sense out of it while it happens? Or try to just let it go? Just watch, listen? Some of the visions and pictures just make no sense. Do you actively ask your questions during the experience? Even though I had a higher dose of caapi vine (close to 100 g) I did not really feel the presence or guidance of that female spirit I experienced during my first journey. Allthough I felt strengh and trust all the time.
I stop here, to give everyone a chance to read. Sorry for my english. There are some limitations in language describing the experience. I hope you got my point anyhow. I feels good to write this down. This is a beginning. I´m happy to be here and looking forward to all of you!
Thank You.
Chris

I'm very new to Nexus as well. I was happy to read your story, as mine is quite similar. Thank you Smile
