I am interested in microfiltration of mold from Cannabis extract but have no experience here. I'm looking to do an ethanol (ice cold) extraction of some cannabis that has some mold in it. It looks like a 0.2 micron filter is desired for filtering out the mold spores from the liquid cannabis extract. Does anyone here have experience with microfiltration such as this that might be able to provide some advice? I am wondering if one of the small 0.2 micron filters that fits onto a syringe might be used on top of a buchner flask with a vacuum pulled on it. In theory one should be able to pull the plunger out of the syringe and just keep pouring the liquid into it as it gets pulled through the filter beneath and into the flask. Are there any better setups that do not cost a fortune that could handle filtration of 0.2 microns? Thanks to anyone can help. Let us declare nature to be legitimate. Just found this (http://tinyurl.com/mrbhs8l) 1000ml Nalgene Nylon Membrane Complete Filter - 0.2 pore size Sterile. This should work much better than the other setup. As far as I know filtering will remove the spores. But it won't remove the aflatoxins. Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

I've heard that. I think aflatoxin should fluoresce green under black light so at least I'll be able to see if there is any in the liquid. Let us declare nature to be legitimate.
