Hi Fellow Explorers

I have been an avid reader of this site forum for about a year or so but have only just become a member. I had a fairly stern and sheltered up bringing with my Dad a public servant and my Mum and Step Father both Police officers. As you could imagine everything regarding alternate thinking or drugs were taboo. This naturally made me curious about these subjects around the age of 21 and the more I look into it the more I feel like I have been lied to as a child, not by any fault of my parents as they only ever wanted the best for myself but because they were in the large crowd of people that think they know. I actually came across this quote which has stuck with me:

"The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge" - Daniel J. Boorstin

Armed with this new found curiosity and the internet I read up on anything and everything that has come to mind. I have always had a keen interest in Egyptology and any chance of a school project growing up that's what I would choose. I was reading about the Tree of Life recently to my surprise I found this was an acacia tree. The God Osiris is suppose to life in the tree of life Hmm that's strange I thought, I was already aware of DMT being found in most acacia species. After more reading I found that the Arc of the Covenant was also made of Acacia. I watched the documentary The Spirit Molecule. I felt like I now had a thirst to know more about DMT, one page lead to another and I find myself here. It's great to find a site with so much knowledge and the thirst for knowledge from like minded people. There is only Two who I feel like I can talk about these subjects with because I feel like to most people it would be the ramblings of a mad man. Haha. There are so many other cultures which all seem to use these delightful plants for insight, teaching and healing that it is too farfetched to simply ignore. Ie Aboriginals and their dreamtime, Peruvian Shamans, Native American Indians, Ancient Egyptians. Freemasonry also has ties to this Tree of Life (Acacia Nilotica).

I would like to grow my own tree of life and I planted some Acacia Maidenii seeds and I am lucky enough to have 3 plants approximately 4 months old. I also have 2 Caapi vine seedlings going strong next to my Maiden. While I haven't had DMT yet I feel like I should wait until my plants are well established by which time I will feel a great connection between myself and my plants.

I have been able to identify a few different varieties growing locally, Northern Black Wattle, Soapy Wattle, Elephant Ear Wattle. I have also found thickets of Mimosa Pigra.

I would be great to hear from you guys and I hope we can all learn something along the way.

Regards
NTEX

Welcome to the Nexus!

Good to hear you have been able to overcome the inadequate information you received as a child and explore these subjects in depth. Considering you are interested in acacias, did you check out Nen's acacia information thread?

Good to hear you are planting these trees too!

It isnt clear from your post but, did you try dmt/ayahuasca yet? What about other psychedelics?

Be well!
