Hi everyone!

I was reading about the FOX Proteins which seem to play a crucial role in the non-senescence of the Hydra organisms and I was thinking if there have ever been experiments to transfer the genes coding these proteins into other organisms, maybe using the gene therapy techniques, so that the modification can be applied to a living being using a genetically modified virus.

Sound quite interesting to me, since of course it makes me dream about immortality
What do you know about? What are your thoughts about?

well....let's hope the demographic Typhoid Maries do not learn (more) about that...

I can see a bit of irony

I want to clearly state that I've not post claiming to have found the secret to immortality, but I've just read about this stuff which, according to wikipedia, seems could play a role in the extension of human life-span.

If someone is better educated than me about this subject please post what he knows about, perhaps explaining me what are the main issues and what make it just a silly dream

if we lived much longer the suffering of humanity would increase.
