My friend wants to try some spice that came from an acacia (90% sure it's confusa, yellowy orange stuff that looks and smells pretty clean) anyway she is on lexapro and I just wanted to confirm for her that the spice will not contain any active amount of Maoi alkaloids or anything like that. She takes lexapro and has been exploring salvia lately but wants to try something a little more classical. Thank you for the help.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

not entirely sure but from what i've read i believe lexipro would completely block the effects of DMT as it is an SSRI. there shouldn't be a significant amount of MAOI in freebase DMT from any plant source..

Acacia acuminata has maoi properties as do a few others and yopu just never know what may have an effect in plant extracts especially when combining with pharmaceuticals.

The vast majority of use here arent qualified to give medical advice however it is common knowledge that SSRI reduce the effects of DMT.'
How severe is her depression and anxiety? Has she considered tapering off them with medical supervision?

I had been using lexapro for a number of years, along with other anti depressants, although lexapro was the last type i was on... once i started using Aya, after 3 sessions i have never taken another pill to treat depression... cases may vary and i wont say that this may be the case for your friend... this was many years ago, right away i knew that i felt and thought differently, everything changed... when i was on lexapro i stopped taking 2 weeks before drinking the tea..
