Greetings everyone,

Since sundaymorning I have followed a relatively strict spiritual dieta (fresh fruit and boiled veg, rice, boiled chicken, all unseasoned and flavorless) in preparation of my first aya experience.

Yesterday night I took my first aya brew (caapi only 130g). It was rather eventless. I could hold it down easily and I experienced some effects that could have been placebos.

Today I resumed the diet and went to my basketball practice. That's where the problems start. I have never felt so weak. I couldn't run at all. I just felt drained and dizzy. My stamina is fantastic as I had no trouble playing two games in a row last saturday and I top scored in both of them... Smile

This makes me wonder wether it is normal to feel physically drained after a caapi experience or was it my diet? I got the impression I needed more salt most of all. I have low blood pressure as it is so a saltless diet might not be a good idea for me...

So, who has experience combining heavy exercise with either a spiritual dieta or caapi brews or both??

Love to hear some views.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Regarding the necessity of a "dieta", I' ve posted my thoughts here . Feel free to do as you want, of course, but I'd suggest you find your own path, instead of just following some arbitrary rules. And by that I dont mean that you necessarily shouldnt do the dieta, but maybe at least experiment without it, or with different kinds of dietas, and see what works better for you.

Im no doctor or nutritional expert so take my comments with a pinch of salt ( lol), but I think fruits, veggies, rice and chicken should have enough nutrients that you wouldnt have any strong deficiency, specially not in short term like that.

I never felt such extreme weakness and so on after ayahuasca, with or without some kind of diet. Did you sleep well? Did you eat something that day before basketball practice?

I have no answers to your case, except that I' d try experimenting with different things (including maybe at some point repeating such dieta and exercising again to see if it was a coincidence or if it repeats) and see if you find anything out.

Do let us know if you have any further insights on this!

Good luck!

I've added yoghurt and organic cruesli, salt, and whole grain pasta to the diet.

I will have another go at a higher dosed caapi brew tonight and I have another practice tomorrow night. Let's see if it makes any difference...

Ok so, I dosed with a heavier caapi brew last night without following any diet and I went through a practice today. I felt very energetic and was 100%. Conclusion is, it could have been the diet, it could have been a third factor. It was defenitely not the caapi that made me feel weak last time. Great news.
