Hey, I found a huge Acacia tree that had fallen down on the side of the road.
The trunk bark has white stuff on the inner side and another that has what I am assuming is a fungus of some sort.
Is this still safe to extract? Could I just scrape it off? Or should I just discard? If so would pieces that look fine be ok to use if from the same tree or could the tree be infected?
I am not one to strip trees, but seeing this fallen tree go to waste would be a shame.
I did a Google search but could not find anything.
