Castaneda's interesting... I have read and enjoyed his books, as you can learn from anything, fiction or non, and I haven't paid much attention to the great debate, but it is my understanding that the works are fiction, so take from them what you will.

I have a book called "Teachings of Don Carlos" and it is about practical applications of the teachings of carlos castaneda. It contains actual practice methods you can do for yourself, rather than just the stories of Carlos and Don Juan. I like these practices.
