I was thinking for my meditative room, (sanctuary) where I have all of my experiences of spirituality is to put one of every statue of each spiritual practice. Buddha, Ganesh, Jesus, etc., as each religious icon has something valuable to take from it.

Jesus, son of god was enlightened, therefor a son of god but did not use the word enlightened, instead said son of god, he simply realized he was enlightened but we heard what happened when he pronounced "Son of God" not enlightenment, but we are all sons and daughters of god!.... Buddha for peace and tranquility, that all things ARE one and manifest back into another being at one point to another to another. Ganesh for knocking down obstacles and overcoming from bad experiences and circumstances etc.

But the three I've started with seem to go far pretty far with what I can feel with the resonating of each idea/energy they each bring to the table. They wont be in the same place but more or less separated from each other (my statues) as each needs their own bit of space out of respect for each in this sacred room. As I add a carpet or two, some colorful art, and sheets, and trinkets from each culture they come from to have this "blend" of energy for this room.

It feels like a good idea to have all of these enlightened leaders with me for these exp. for I have a feeling they do not hate each other, but are good spiritual friends, its man that separated them from this belief. Who says they hate each other, did they tell you that? lol but even if they were to talk and we know what they really think, I don't think they would hate each other, true enlightened beings live and let live and be whole... Its all jus from my perspective but they all are greater than the opinion of man. So I would sit and breathe in the knowledge that surrounds the room from each.

Lemme know what your room looks like! Im jus starting on mine!

Peace and Namaste,

I would agree, they could very well be good spiritual friends... Perhaps even... Super Best Friends?? Laughing

All kidding aside, I do like your idea of incorporating a representation of several major spiritual/religious practices as a means of acknowledging the fact that they all have something to offer. I think understanding this idea is key to living peacefully in a world which contains a very wide spectrum of spiritual beliefs and practices. Smile

If it helps you out or if these figures resonate with you that's great.

Me personally, any image of Jesus immediately conjure up Images of mass murder, hypocrisy, guilt, shame, deceit, power controls, etc.

Not so sure of this is due to being raised in a so called Christian nation and witnessing the power of hyorocisy coming from those of the church. Or if this is just my own personal thing. I do know that while all religion brings these types of thoughts up in my mind. None of the other religions do so as much as Christianity or any symbolic images that come from it.

I've studied everything from Christian teachings, Islam, Sufism, Hinduism, theosophy, Buddhist doctrines, transpersonal psychology , Wicca, etc

And while all religions that have been made Institutions leave a bad taste in my mouth, I feel there is something to gain from most of them with the exception being Christianity. While I know there must be some type of enlightenment found in the pages of the bible, the disgrace the church has done to taint the image of Christ makes it almost I.possible for me to read the book.

I generally stay focused on easter religion if I feel the need to venture that way at all.

I realize this post may not sit well with a lot of people. And im actually considering not posting it now as I type this as I don't mean to offend or knock what you are attempting to do st all brother.

Something urged me to reply to this thread and so I've done so. May you be successful in whsyebr endeavor you depart upon.
That moment when you wonder if this time you went too far....

Obviously everything discussed here is the fictional accounts of someone with an out there imagination. I mean really could any of these tales be real?

I do understand where your coming from Al-Wasi, but my idea is to leave mens opinions, judgments and self made problems a thing of the past with this idea, im simply focusing on what each has done to help humanity spiritually, their own way.

Its the "Idea" of why they are all majestic beings and their teachings that resonate, not what men have done or thought and tainted to the idea of each... It is very controversial to say the least, and not everybody understands why I may choose to do this. But I see sacrifice and the courage to do those things with Jesus, that's the lesson im taking with me. I choose to take what I deem important from each religion to find a whole picture. Now that's not crazy is it?

Im a very tolerant person to say anything. I think they make a bumper sticker that says "Coexist" and people sometimes put these on their cars, im just starting to realize why it was so strange, yet so true that almost, if we do blend each, it would make more sense? Idk, but I figure each is a part of a bigger picture that we just cant see without understanding most of them.

I do appreciate and respect the opinion tho, no offense taken in the least buddySmile But thought I might just do this since everybody in this world keeps talking about the "right" choice of religion, what if they all are right u kno? In the end its ultimately what you believe and take with you that makes you who you are. I don't think "God" would be upset, just as long as you came to be a good empathetic person.
