Hello! just joined, anyway do u guys typically use tor when using this site or regular google chrome, etc... many thanks!

This site works fine via TOR although I would say its slower for obvious reasons.
I have been looking at TOR and other things of that nature mostly out of curiosity, I access this site via Chrome because its nice and fast.
Paranoia on the internet is good when it comes to malicious people and companies, its useless when it comes to governments. I would think that in all honesty that the government (Im refering to the U.S. government here) has other things to do than worry if someone is getting high. The NSA has admitted doing the things they have been accused of and then some, they are indeed watching everyone and collecting just about everything. Ostensibly to keep nasty people from blowing stuff up.
Personally it seems to me that using TOR and serious (ha!) encryption is a good way of drawing attention to your self, the problem is that it also keeps the people who want your bank account information at bay. Unless you are a serious geek and can check your most recent linux or bsd version for backdoors you are running something with backdoors built in (MacOS, Windows, Android, Unix, Linux etc). Add to that the fact that your ISP is hosting a set of backdoors as well as piping everything directly to government servers and you will see that paranoia will get you nowhere except off the internet in a hurry.
Dont worry about the government, you can't stop them, worry about people trying to rip you off, get at your friends by breaking into your stuff and so on.
This site is jam packed with people who are diametrically opposed to blowing other people up or even harming a blade of grass. The government, or at least the branches of government that one would expect to be worrisome already know this site is here and if they wanted to they would know who everyone here is and if they brushed their teeth this morning and with what sort of toothpaste.
I would say don't worry about it... but thats just me.
When the people in tinfoil hats told me years and years ago that the NSA was watching everyone I laughed and didn't worry about it, now I have more respect for the people in tinfoil hats and have to wonder HOW DID THEY KNOW?!?! I still dont worry about it, it's like worrying that the sun might explode, it could, but I can't stop it if it does.
