I was on a bush walk today and i was wondering if this is an acacia ?
If someone could tell me what it is or is not that would be excellent.

Hello there, I can't specify exactly but might be dealbata. To save you some trouble SWIM has attempted two teks with a tree of similar attributes to your using bark, phyllodes and flowers with no result of alkaloids. Samples of bark were taken during late March, with regular rainfall and temperatures around 8 degrees and phyllodes and flowers harvested early July during a dry patch in the weather, temps averaging 12-16 degrees.

Maybe Acacia pubescens?

If you can get a clear measurement of the length/width of leaves and the length of the pinnae and rachis, then we can narrow it down further. Also what state?
