I weighed out 100g of Bark powder, 100g of Lye, 1000ml of water. This was done outside, until later on in the extractions. I slowly added the lye crystals to the water. Now I have my gloves and goggles, but no mask. At some point I almost got a good breath of Lye vapor, it was not pleasant! From this point I try to keep my distance, even hold my breath at times to make sure the event dose not repeat. Lesson learnt! Once dissolved, the powder was added, mixed, left to sit for a few hours (coming back to mix every so often). At one point adding another 100ml of water, thinking it might help the lumps of powder break up better/faster.

Then the time came for the Naphtha pulls (in this case Shellite). I measured out 200ml of shellite, because at the time I forgot to buy a measuring cup that had 100ml (lowest point was 200ml). When I added the shellite, I was expecting for the shellite and lye, to mix together after a bit of mixing. It did not, and was very good at staying separate. I ended up transferring the mix into a bowl, instead of the thinner vace I was using. I thought it would be better, as the bowl had more surface area, so would be more exposure for the shellite to suck up the dmt. After a few moments, I then thought it was a stupid idea, and was better to keep the mix in the thin vace.

Now here comes my 2nd stupid mistake! I left my gloves inside, as I was going in and out. I wanted to transfer the mix back into the vace, and did not want to go back inside to waste time. Needless to say, that damn bowl is crap at pouring stuff out of it! Some of the mix spilt on my hands, lucky for me it was just the Shellite. Another lesson learnt! Always have my safety gear on, no excuses!

After this, it was smooth sailing. I did 5 pulls. First two pulls was with non heated shellite or mix. Third pull I warmed up the naphtha, then added. Last two pulls I heated the entire mix of Lye and shellite, in the laundry sink. I noticed that when the mix was heated, after mixing for an amount of time, the shellite would be able to mix right into the lye. So it then made sense why giving the mix a bath, lets the shellite suck up more DMT. Third lesson learnt!

Then came the moment to freeze. Day later the bowl somehow had solvent condensation?. It started giving off the smell of shellite in the freezer. So I solved the potential problem, by sealing the bowl of spicy shellite in a old bucket that used to contain my carbohydrate powder. Works great, now no hint of weak smelling shellite. Was a good idea, because when the time came to open the container, it smelt very heavy of Shellite. So was a good thing, I would of had my mum and dads freezer being very smelly!

Ok, the time came to pour off the shellite! As I sead, I opened the container, it had a STRONG smell of shellite! Did not bother me, as I was excited for my MANY clumps of spicy crystals. In a rush I ripped off the foil, and really fast, covered the spice bowl with plastic wrap. I left it upside down, and tilted. It stayed like this for about an hour, then I removed the plastic wrap. Then I left it upside down in my room to dry for another two hours. Now, it's still sitting there, because I am to scared to try some without the scale . I will probably scrap it up, and put it in the baggy I got before I go to bed.

To end this report. Sadly I don't have a scale to weigh out the spice you see in these photos. But as you can see, there is a YUMMY amount there. The crystals are not to dense, kinda fluffy. They are a nice white, JUST off being a very nice Snow white. The area/surface between the crystals is sticky. I suspect this to be Fats and such? Because I tested the shellite out, and evaporated half a glass to leave nothing left.

yeah safety euqipment is awesome. (knock on wood) i havent gotten anything in my eyes yet. i always wear goggles. beware of the power of naptha. it makes my throat swell and hurt like i have strep throat if i dont wear my 3m painters mask. i use food grade naoh from somewhere online and it doesnt cause any burns if it is washed off within a few minutes. ammonia for washes is the worst. it will blind and choke you if you stand over it. i never even breathe when im using the stuff. blah. anyways, congrats on your pull. it looks like you got some good stuff. i love watching crystals grow. one thing i have found lately (and i have other people who have smoked my spice and agree with me..) is that pure white spice is aesthetically pleasing but is a less potent smoke. if you let the jars sit for about a month, your spice will be a nasty looking piss yellow, but will blow your freaking mind.

Looks good clean for a Lazy man good work. Got to love seeing a plan come together and end in sucess. About 2months for hatching the egg is now a full grown chicken, sucess on first try to NICE. You are welcome I am happy to help and it makes me feel good to see you did your extraction perfectly. I've been lurking here and reading all the teks. But your quick walkthrough here has given SWIM the kick in the pants to pick a tek and just go ahead and give it a go. SWIM will surely post his results and pics as well.

sorry to bump this a month later, but I'm curious - you said you did 5 pulls, did you combine all 5 into that large bowl and then freeze the whole thing at once? you say you used 200ml of shellite; did each pull only pull up 40ml, or did you do 5 pulls of 200ml each?

That looks like my single pull from a 50g MHRB...

have you got a picture of your collected and dried DMT? would be a good comparison. I just extracted 100g. form 3 pulls i got a very decent amount. not sure how much since i have no scales.
