I have always wanted to touch the magical, the divine, the unknown. Lucid dreaming, out of body experiences, hypnosis, meditation, you name it. However, even as a young girl I was an extremely logical person. It just my personality; I want to believe, have faith, and be swallowed up in the depth of god or the universe or whatever ... but I don't lie to myself about my experiences and feelings. I take the leap of faith, I work hard at it and do get some benefit from these paths. I feel blessed and grateful to have wandered down them.

That said, I've never really taken me to the place of unreality. Never had a psychedelic experience. I've never broken through. Does that make sense?

About a year ago, I analysed my beliefs about drugs and realized I had never really challenged my perceptions about them. I have been "drug free" my whole life, but now have reframed the whole issue. I am now fully committed to get the full ayahuasca (legal of course) experience.

I've tried a homemade brew twice before and haven't got anywhere. I did purge though. Dosing and correct prep were at fault; I knew it was possible to fail the first few times, which is fine because I want to slowly approach the thresholds and not do anything truly dangerous/unwise.

As for interests, I'm trying to learn more about syrian rue purity (does it matter? how much?) and checking to see if my analog materials are good.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

All I can say is wow... I am stunned. I had to double check to see that I didn't write this. At age 14 I began almost an obsessive study of hypnosis and lucid dreaming. I would practice NLP language patterns, study body language and the like, day and night, I am surprised!

Breaking through was by far the single most intense, and rewarding experience of my life. For the first time, I felt I could not put into words the ineffable reality of what I had just experienced, and yet, I had no desire too; this was a very... bemusing sensation. After the fact my friend was asking me what happened. I started laughing, the big bellied laugh of the Buddha emanated from within me, I busted up laughing

"How on earth am I going to tell others about this.."

Welcome FiniteFox and good luck; you sound like someone who is primed for the experience. I promise it's everything they all say it is, and more.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the goodwill.

NLP brings me back to the old days... I too went bananas over Bandler, Mindlines, Ross Jefferies, etc, etc. I remember using some broken-structure hypno-bombs to get free food in highschool. Good times, good times.

As for breaking through, do you think I should keep going with syrian rue + ACRB? I believe that I've extracted harmine/harmaline from the rue properly (now I guess I just eat it? orange juice? choices...) but now I'm working on dialing in the second part. I'm thinking to extract some to make sure there is the magic in it. I don't have a lot of resources to make many mistakes.

That said, I'm pretty sold on oral consumption - I want the wide expanse of the aya-like revelation as I've got an aversion to smoking.

Still it scares me, but if it didn't would it be a heroic dose?

You can either dissolve the extract in OJ, or you can put it in a pill capsule you can perforate first.

It's hard to say if it would be a heroic dose or not considering you haven't actually given us any dosages! I wouldn't aim for a heroic dose as my goal: that's for sure.

I can understand you may have an aversion to smoking, as with your absence of drug experience, I would guess that you don't smoke weed, and I would also guess you don't smoke cigarettes as well. If you vaporize the DMT, you're inflicting minimal damage on your lungs (if that's what you're worried about), and sure it might be a little uncomfortable, but (and this goes for aya too) it's often necessary to make yourself a little uncomfortable in order to pave the way for glory.

Hello Finite Fox, and welcom to the Nexus.

I'm very interested to see how your first experience goes. I liked your introduction essay, you sound like someone I would get along with.

Extracting is IMO the best way to know the dosage you are taking and being sure you at least ingested it. Whether it works or not after that really depends on your metabolism - even with extracts you can have misfires unfortunately.

As for vaporizing it, I understand your reservation on the topic, I felt the same way. However there is something to the fast onset and complete loss of one's barings when the DMT blasts you out of your mind... It's worth a try to say the least, even if you end up preferring the oral route (which I personally do) for the work. If you vaporize it correctly there is very little discomfort for your lungs, much less than with cigarette smoke or similar.

Please check out the OHT Handbook (the link in my signature) for some useful pointers on how to prepare yourself for this new experience. All the best!

Thanks again everyone. For those who've PM'ed me, since I'm still a new member I cannot reply yet. I'm still awaiting a few ingredients and likely going to do the Q21Q21 tek.

Given the advice received, I'm going to parachute 3.5 g syrian rue, wait 20 mintues and then swallow some dosage of the extracted spice. I'm thinking 45 mg. At 40 mins in, if nothing is happening, I'll follow it up with 1 g syrian rue an an extra 10 mg of dmt.

Sounds like a good idea! Be aware nausea may accompany the rue, unless you extracted pure harmine/harmaline, but even then my girlfriend (she's tiny) experienced some mild nausea. Eating some ginger helped to alleviate the discomfort exponentially

Ultimately, your diet is a purely personal thing, but for the practical aspects of using this for spiritual/mystical reasons it could be wise to eat healthy/in moderation good foods beforehand, after all, you're preparing for --in my experience-- one of the single most transformative events the human mind can possibly witness, and then, going beyond what you think that is!

Good luck!
