Voices.

An echo before the silence.

The silent echoes away into the noise.

All these lives have lived an amount of fortified splendor.

Willingly traumatized by instigating chance-handlers flipping over palms to reveal empty fortunes.

Lead oneself back up the wary hill to swing on the tree of which rooted your being into an isolated time.

Times when we shine in the Sun glow.

A time after we have lived but we return to wisp but a sweet near fragrance of the time in-between when we looked sideways and remembered this is all plenty.

I can breathe and know the life covers my soul and all waves and shadows are embraced as vestiges to the other seems which remain in places.

Actually someone from STS gave me a little inspiration to make a profile on here finally.
Been reviewing the Phalaris thread for about a year now, checking every few months for progress.
Notice a lot is still lacking from that thread. Do a lot of researching and writing and have put out a little piece on the Phalaris genus, mainly covering P. Aquatica, P. Arundinacea, P. Brachystachys and P. Paradoxa. Sequels are in the works!
Mainly involved with cultivation but can offer many other experimental reports.

Have been heavily studying ethnobotanicals for coming on 3-4 years now and it's a great adventure. Realized there is a lifetime of exciting work in these fields early on so have kept at it and hope to join some of you in your travels.

Will be posting around here and networking with Nexians.
Glad to be climbing the Acacia tree with those of you who are

Smile

Welcome Chimp Z, great to have you here at the Nexus! I really enjoyed your poem - thanks for sharing. It reminded me a lot of my own style of poetry, although it has been many years since I last wrote in that format.

Gratitude for your disciplined work with the Phalaris genus - I'm sure your contributions will prove invaluable to members of this community. I certainly resonate with you regarding the abundance of exciting work to be done in this field! Sometimes I get a bit carried away and try to do too many things at once but thankfully the plants are supreme teachers of patience.

See you around under the shade of the Acacias Wink

"Becoming a person of the plants is not a learning process, it is a remembering process. Somewhere in our ancestral line, there was someone that lived deeply connected to the Earth, the Elements, the Sun, Moon and Stars. That ancestor lives inside our DNA, dormant, unexpressed, waiting to be remembered and brought back to life to show us the true nature of our indigenous soul" - Sajah Popham.
