I have been reading this site occasionally for a few years, and registered about two years ago, around the time of some of my last visits. My introduction to DMT was through a trip report anthology in a book I bought about a decade ago called something like "Magic Mushrooms, Toads and Other Highs".
Two years ago I wanted to experiment with ayahuasca (an analogue actually) but became terribly sick during the week I intended to journey and put it off again. My desire to journey, to put it lightly, is frowned upon in the circles I float in, making this a private endeavour. It kept calling my name and I successfully brewed my first analogue (chaliponga and syrian rue) last week. Whenever it calls my name again I intend to brew true ayahuasca with 50ish grams of caapi vine. I would like to write a report about my first experiences in the proper forum, when my membership is upgraded.
Over the years I have enjoyed reading the thoughtful posts by people with lots of first-hand experience preparing different brews, and what the experiences were like. I appreciate the 'grass-roots' experimentation and fairly accurate record keeping that goes in to many posts, the quality of information here is quite high in comparison to other message boards where hearsay abounds. My experiments with this substance are just beginning, and I'm sure the Nexus will play a pivotal role in shaping the rest of them. Thank you for all you've done so far!
