Hello all,

I have had symptoms of HPPD since april, after i went on a month binge of doing RC's (STUPIDLY.) These symptoms have got better since then, and it's only noticeable when i don't get sleep, as i don't smoke marijuana any more or drink. I may do a low dose of mushrooms every couple months, but that's it for now, as the universe has given me a chance with LSD and i'm not going to throw that chance away by doing it again. (completely different story)

Anywhoo, I will have the chance to Vape DMT soon, and after doing years of research, building myself up from using rc's mushrooms, and salvia, i feel as though i am ready. I don't want the spice to make my HPPD worse however, because in the beginning it was scary, i was completely sober and had no sense of self, saw things move, and color splotches.

My question is, Do any of you have hppd? does the spice make it worse for you?

This is a complex topic with a lot of different perspectives and opinions...And there has been a lot of discussion as to what "HPPD" even is

Here's some discussions that have sprung up on this topic over the years. I think some of my thoughts on this (although they're a few years old) are in the thread fourth down from the top, in that link

For me, at first it was something that was often terrifying, since I thought I might be going nuts...and it wasn't very coherent or meaningful a lot of the time. Later it evolved, along with my experiences and understanding, and my perspective on it shifted a lot in a positive way

I don't really have any experience with RC's though

DMT could possibly make it 'worse', but its hard to say anything for certain

To be honest, I would say that there would be a good chance for DMT exacerbating the symptoms. As UC said, who can be sure, but that's my best guess.

"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead

Friend of mine reported dosing LSD so often that he ended up tripping for 2 years after he stopped, it was an issue for him.

It went away eventually.

For me, and from what I've noticed in others, LSD is more likely to trigger or exacerbate it than DMT in most cases

Id tend to lean towards things like dxm, various rc's & LSD etc, stirring it up more than things like salvia, mushrooms (and possibly dmt) I have no experience with dmt so, that ones just a guess.
...is this a dream or a memory

Theres an intro thread that was started by a fellow with HPPD who says DMT has helped his symptoms greatly. I suppose something as varied as these situations though, theres very little consistency between individuals.

HPPD fellow's thread
"A troop of elves smashes down your front door and rotates and balances the wheels on the after death vehicle, present you with the bill and then depart. And it's completely paradigm shattering. I mean, ya know, union with the white light you could handle. An invasion of your apartment by jeweled self dribbling basketballs from hyperspace that are speaking in demonic Greek is NOT something that you anticipated and could handle!' -T.M.
