So I look into the small shot glass containing my DiMiTri crystals and think dang I'm just about out, wait what's that? A layer of compacted crystals in the bottom of the shot glass!!! I shall scrape you out and have enough for another blast-off attempt!!!

I try to scrape the crystals out but they're rock solid so I put the shot glass in a hot water bath to hopefully melt the crystals and get that delicious molecule into my brain.

Success! After about 5 minutes the hard yellowish crystals have melted into a clear yellow/brown goop. I scrape out the goop (about 30-40mg) and load it up in my oil burner bong.

I go sit on the couch set down my bong and begin to meditate for a while (maybe 15 minutes or so) until I feel comfortable and completely relaxed.

I pick up the bong and look into the bowl at crystals that are starting to form as the goop cools down, fuck it I think, I don't need to wait for them to be crystals again I'm just gonna melt them again when I vape it...

I light the lighter and hold it a couple inches away from the goop/crystals in the bowl and wait for vapor to appear. There it comes I start inhaling and notice it tastes a little funny... Oh well I'm already inhaling it keep on going!! Puff tuff and blast off !!!

About 5 seconds into inhaling the goop starts to boil rapidly then out of nowhere turns jet black and the vapor is acrid and burns my throat!! What the fuck! It catches flame and begins to burn I put down the bong and exhale this nasty shit and then realize it's on fire again so I pick it up and put the botom of my lighter over the small hole in the top of the bowl... TINK the bowl explodes into a hundred prices...

Any body have any idea what the fuck just happened and why? Here's a pic if the shattered bowl and some black residue...

Also the taste was sweet, like burnt marshmallows...

No I hadn't extracted it, but I've been smoking these same crystals for the last 2-3 months... No problems no weird tastes nothing until I scraped the bottom of the glass... The person who introduced me to dmt gave it to me and he said he got it from someone else... But yeah I'm fine my throats fine I don't feel any negative effects... Just utterly dumbfounded at what happened.

IMO, the fire was caused by trapped solvent or other nasties, and the shattered bowl happened because of thermal shock. You touched the (very hot) thin glass bowl with the bottom of your (cool) lighter.

That's a good explanation and makes sense. Well I guess it's a good thing I'll be extracting my own goodies from now on anyway.

I feel the same at, I have my ass ware that I recently squire up on my shelf standing proud above everything else. Can't wait for the rest of my supplies to arrive.

Indeed, i absolutely love chemistry and while in school chemistry and science came the most naturally to me and ive always excelled in those areas. im happy i've finally found a practical use for my love of chemistry!!

how is this done? what do you extract/synthesise it from?
