Hi guys. After reading a great deal of info over the years on T. Pachanoi, and T. Bridgesi ect, I have found so many slight differences when it comes to identification that it I have found it almost impossible to be 100% in correctly identification. I believe the cacti I have growing is one of the two, however I would love a second opinion. Being new here, I unfortunately have to post in the WELCOME AREA. Sorry. I have included a few pics for identification. The cacti have recently been overwatered I believe (not by myself) so they are looking slightly yellower in SOME pics than they usually are. All help with identification is greatly appreciated. Thanks. tryptamine machine attached the following image(s): a.JPG (190kb) downloaded 49 time(s). b.JPG (212kb) downloaded 47 time(s). c.JPG (423kb) downloaded 47 time(s). d.JPG (287kb) downloaded 47 time(s). e.JPG (284kb) downloaded 48 time(s).

T. Pachanoi. All of my bridgesii have some longer spines, except the monstrosus forms.

Thanks Cosmic Spore. You are 100% happy to agree that it is indeed T. Pachanoi? Took me a long time to track these down. The owner was unaware what they were, but more than happy for me to take the cuttings from which these were grown. They are just over two years old, and if correctly identified, i would love to look into getting more cuttings from the original source. Does anyone else agree on the identification or have a differring opinion? Thanks again.

Possibly T pachnaoi, that is the PC clone and it does not actually match T pachanoi as found in Peru or as described in the botanical literature. It tends to grow narrower, is lighter in color, is less strong in terms of mescaline content, offspring often appear to have a long spine trait that appears to be recessive in this plant, the floral hair is lighter in color than authentic T. pachanoi. It displays vigor in terms of growth also suggesting a possible hybrid status. It has been affectionately called the Pachanot. http://www.largelyaccura....com/pedro/pedro_02.htmlhttp://www.largelyaccura...dia.com/pedro/pedro.htmlhttp://www.largelyaccura...ichocereus_pachanot.htmlCheck out more links at the above page for further details.

these are certainly Trichocereus Pachanoi. Now whether they are Primary Cultivar or not is another question. ie: are they landscaping genetics or authentic genetics. ie: does it have mescaline?

Yeah, looks like PC pachanoi. This clone does not have mescaline. The owner (or whoever planted them) probably got them at home depot or something just for landscaping purposes. If you want some potent clones I would go to well known source with nice named clones. Have you consumed any of these? 3... 2... 1... BLAST OFF!!!!FFO TSALB ...1 ...2 ...3 My grafting guide
