hello!
DMT is new to me. although i experienced it twice i still do not really now what it is about.
the idea of DMT beeing a neurotransmitter fascinates me, anyway nobody really knows it for a 100% why DMT is there and what in detail it does to ones consciousness and body.
i study philosophy, i see how little(or nothing at all..) scientific discussion there is about entheogens. its obvious that established minds can be compared and even extended by psychoactive drug theories. probably its much easier to follow hegels theories by having some psychedelic experiences(e.g).
the most touching(emotional) thoughts i had where on LSD yet. this came to my mind again when i read this passage today: aldoux huxleys doors of perception:
"We live together, we act on, and react to, one another; but always and in all circumstances we are by ourselves. The martyrs go hand in hand into the arena; they are crucified alone. Embraced, the lovers desperately try to fuse their insulated ecstasies into a single self-transcendence; in vain. By its very nature every embodied spirit is oomed to suffer and enjoy in solitude. Sensations, feelings, insights, fancies - all these are private and, except through symbols and at second hand, incommunicable. We can pool information about experiences, but never the experiences themselves."
this is experience is not good or bad. its just experience at some higher level. try to imagine your emotions when first thinking this. and DMT is a little like that, not that emotional but also far from any good or bad. just... interesting and waiting to be explored.
i am no native speaker(or writer) so please ignore some grammar/language fails but tell me the fatal ones. the level of language in this forum seems to be very high, i do my best to maintain it.
enough about me.
awesome that there is a forum like this!
