Greetings, I'm a perpetual lurker that has frequented entheogenic messageboards for 15 years, finally joined to contribute some. I'm not a social organism, but I do find it important to share my research and discoveries, so I hope to have access elsewhere soon before I lose the drive and focus to contribute.
Mapping out your entire ego online is dangerous in a datamined society, but I will say I'm fascinated by the unexplored area between shamanism and mysticism, and thats where my primary interests lie. I believe tryptamines and disassociatives provide true religious experiences (as proven by recent psilocybin research on chemically-induced peak experiences of religious ecstacy), and that trip reports of certain compounds are of equal importance to revered writings as the vision of Ezekiel, Jacob, Muhammed, Moses, etc. and are perhaps even more precious because they are not distorted by time, garbled reinterpretation, and mistranslation. Where we are behind is in mapping out those metaphysical landscapes, we need more modern equivalents of the Mekabah mystics, Vajrayanic bardo mappers, and Tantric loka-wanderers.
We have more chemical tools than any shamans or mystics of the past, and the vast wealth of recorded metaphsical musings of entire lineages of religious psychonautical explorers, but the "trippers" of our generation have been tricked into thinking its all in their heads, that they have generated all their otherwordly insights out of their own skulls, that they are hallucinatory world generating gods of the mental terrain, creating whole sentient populations of imaginary spiritual teachers who teach them nothing they didn't already know. I find the arrogance in this astounding and this culture of Freudian/Jungian
hubris is what keeps our culture from producing another Moses or Buddha that could lead us out of this social paradigm of paranoia and sociopathy that the world is entrenched in.
Anyone who thinks they generated hyperspace and it's denizens out of their own "subconscious" to entertain and interact with themselves is an accidental egoist, and usually these reductionist types hate salvia because it stomps out their dopaminergic scaffolding and shows them how little control they actually have, myself included. Eventually there will be a schism in the psychedelic community between the Internalists (it's all the subconscious) and the Externalists (the spirits are real *and in control*).
It's starting to happen already, ayahuasca-fervor and bwiti are just the beginning of a tide of religious change that will sweep the world. I think a thousand years down the line people will look at the 21st century as we do to 600 BC, where Lao Tzu, Buddha, Zoroaster, Pythagoras, and Moses all lived within a generation of each other and irrevocably changed the consciousness of all humanity.
The Nexus is an aptly titled conjunction point where I think this shift is currently taking place. This place is the most outside-the-box locale for radical paradigm shifts possible, and as such is priceless for our future as a species. My focus is draining away, so in closing I'm happy to be here and I hope to sporadically contribute to this ongoing evolutionary process facilitated by these precious tryptamine gateways.
***Please note: I only registered to contribute to the extracting 5-meo-dmt thread, and I will probably not have the drive, willpower, or focus to followup past this hurdle in contributing. My mind is very non-neurotypical, obsessive and tidal. In case I don't get that far, will someone plz mention that Evodia Fructus 5:1 Plum Flower brand is cheap as hell and available on Amazon. The 5meo subforum is far behind the N,N research done here, and for non-duality explorations more valuable. This source is obvious and ALWAYS overlooked. See below:
ShamTec Report #1 - Alkaloid Extraction from Evodia rutacarpa
Fat Freddie, Psychedelic Toad & Head of Research Shamanic Technologies
An acid/base extract from 100 grams of dried fruit (Evodiarutacarpa, Wu Zhu Yu) yielded about 80 mg of freebase wax from the final filtrate fraction (see ShamTec Report #2). 50 mg of this extract was smoked, registering a plus three (+++) on the Shulgin scale. Apyrolytic assay of the extract recovered from the filtered precipitates proved to be inactive. The tiny berry like fruits are readily obtainable from Chineseherbalists; they are said to be mildly toxic, this could be due in part to the astringent tannins, but it seems they are removed during the extraction process.
No signs of any physical discomfort while under its effects were observed. This does not imply it is entirely safe, all the usual disclaimers apply. A Medline search shows Evodia is known tocontain alkaloids that are vasodilators which reduce blood pressure.
A second extract was prepared in order to test the validity of reports that Evodia fruits are hallucinogenic if eaten in large quantities. 5-MeO is not known to be orally active on it own. If the 5-MeO is causing psychoactivity then there would also be MAOI's present. 140 mg of the combined filtered fractions was consumed; no psychological or psychological effects were observed from this single trial. The dried fruits of this plant were easy to process. It was concluded that is a convenient an useful natural source of 5-MeO-DMT.

THIS IS NOT MY BIOASSAY. It just desperately needed reposting here. Also the 5:1 extract is $30 for 100 grams, so yields would be 5x that above, so 400 mg for $30, so less than $2 per whiteout dose. I have not tried this because my kundalini syndrome demands that I lay off the tryptamines or stop sleeping, but evodia seems them obvious go-to source, and I doubt it's bannable.
