Great forum you have here, and I hope to make some good contributions to the Nexus.
I have a fair amount of experience with psychedelics in my past, not always for the right reasons I'm sorry to say.
Fast forward a decade or so, and as my spiritual life has evolved, I find myself moving towards psychedelics again, I think this time for all the right reasons. I'm sure the spirits will make that clear. I found this forum in my research on this path and have been doing a lot of reading, there is a ton of great information here.
I'm starting this exploration at the end of the month with a planned San Pedro adventure and plan to report back on my experience.
I'm looking forward to the journey with you all!

Hello double_peter, Welcome to the Nexus. Thank you so much for sharing your Intro Essay with us - I found myself just wanting to read/learn more. ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) . There are a number of us here who began psychedelics abusively, took a significant break (for various reasons) then later in life find ourselves coming back to them. I myself took 19 years off before my return, ![Very happy](/forum/images/emoticons/grin.png) . I'm glad you found us and are taking some time to take a good look around and do some reading. I do hope your San Pedro journey goes well. the wiki has a plethora of extraction teks for a variety of plants, including cactus. If you are anything at all like me, eating straight San Pedro or drinking slime isn't going to work. Thus, doing House's resin tek or 69ron's Mescaline Acetate tek or something similar allows us to work more closely with cactus/mescaline I hope you like what you find here and again want to welcome you to the Nexus. "But even if nothing lasts and everything is lost, there is still the intrinsic value of the moment. The present moment, ultimately, is more than enough, a gift of grace and unfathomable value, which our friend and lover death paints in stark relief."-Rick Doblin, Ph.D. MAPS President, MAPS Bulletin Vol. XX, No. 1, pg. 2Hyperspace LOVES YOU

It's been over a year since I posted this thread. I've been lurking quite a bit, but not posting (not many places to post when you're still a new member), and this forum has been a big help in my journey.
I've had 5 experiences now with San Pedro, my last being the most intense and insightful. It's really quite amazing woking with San Pedro and many thing come back and are revealed days after the trip. San Pedro really does offer healing if that's what you seek. I've wanted to write some experience reports but I can never find the right words.
Anyway....this weekend my wife is going to give San Pedro a try while I sit. I'm really excited for her, she hasn't had any experience with psychedelics, much less any other drugs, she hardly even drinks, so I think this will be a profound experience for her.

San Pedro is truly a healer, guide and a friend. It would neat to hear about your wife's experience.
