Hey guys,
Figured I'd come here and make a post - aiming for membership.
Well to start off, I grew up in a household with very closed minded family. They assumed that everything that is illegal - is bad for you. Ironically they all drank alcohol and smoked cigarettes. Despite how they tried to raise me, I was always extremely rebellious. Throughout school I was usually the leader of my groups, if not I stuck out and tried to draw as much attention to me as possible.
Years later in high school, that happy need for attention turned into hate. I was a very angry teenager. I even quit hanging around Mary Jane or several years.
A few years ago, I was working at a body shop - repairing cars. One of the tech's who was training me, hung out with Mary Jane and Cubes. Eventually, got me hanging around MJ and Cubes.
I later met up with a mentor. He showed me a lot of poor behaviors I had in life. Like shallow breathing (I frequently couldn't catch my breath because I regularly went back to shallow breathing), negativity and how I handled things (also related to poor breathing), as well as opening my mind to astral projection/remote viewing and several other crazy things that I would have never believed in.
This mentor eventually introduced me to Dimitri.
Our first discussion about it had me in complete Awe. I couldn't believe that something would make you feel this way, but at the same time be 'okay' for you - maybe even 'GOOD' for you.
I read DMT The Spirit Molecule, watched that popular documentary, TONS of research (on this website and elsewhere), and months later (after I developed an appreciation/respect for it's power), I decided it was time to try it.
It found me, and probably for a reason.
I did it 3 times in 1 day, a few hours apart (well aware of the tolerance you can build to it after smoking it once). I never "blasted off". But the patterns were amazing. After my first smoke I came out and couldn't stop hugging the mentor's dogs and had an overwhelming appreciating for everything - and it continued for DAYS afterwards.
A month or so ago, we tried it again - and I made it through. There really aren't any words to describe the perfections I saw, as I'm sure you know. Immediately after the journey, I began writing down and trying to draw what I saw. Keep in mind I am NO artist, and I am not artistic, but I did my best. Blueish tint to the room, pillars rounded at the top, tiles, distinct female sitting in front of me, on and on.
Recently my mentor showed me a picture of a tarot card... The High Priestess... There it was. If I was a better artist you could STACK that card on top of my drawing and it'd look like it was traced.
Let me edit these sentences in - (((I have NEVER seen a Tarot card in my life. For me to fabricate the typical image that is printed on a Tarot card for the High Priestess would be EXTREMELY coincidental alone - aside from all the meanings of the card. I'm not sure if I believe in Tarot, but it could also just be a way to link me to meaning of the trip.)))
In relation to the High Priestess: *staying nonactive *accessing the unconscious *seeing the potential *sensing the mystery
I was overcoming problems, learning to deal with people I don't agree with (even politically), I had a love that was out of reach (dating someone else going through divorce - so it's hard to see her), being passive about my crazy x-wife's behavior, the journey with Dimitri itself, and more.
The card itself can relate entirely to Dimitri and the overall feelings it can give you.
.... Dang, I made a wall of text. Oh well, that's basically where I stand today. Still reading about it. I regularly try to scare myself away from it by reading bad trips and talking to a couple of people who are experienced with it.
I am still so drawn to it... Respectfully.

Hey topherfoster, welcome to the Nexus.
Sounds like you've had quite a transformative last few years; glad to see that you've been making positive progress. How come you're trying to scare yourself away from it?
stay well, C33

stay well, C33 Uhm..I'm afraid I might get addicted to it. Not chemically addicted but addicted in a sense like someone who plays a video game 20 hours a day 7 days a week (Been there done that heheh). It is truly the most amazing feeling I have ever experienced. I have never been happier like I am afterwards. Take my job for example: I was inspecting a house, 2 or 3 Days after I did it the first time. And I looked up at the bottom of the roof (there was no drywall or insulation) and the framing of the house blew me away. The pathing, the construction, and time, everything that was going on there made sense to me. The house wasn't even alive... and I was fascinated with the skeletal 2x4 remains left after a fire. I don't have an addicting personality but I can EASILY see how I could cling to this drug, or tool, or whatever it is... it makes me nervous

Ah I see, I know what you mean. Well, it's not physically addicting (as I'm sure you know) but the draw to do it often can come up. It really comes down to self control. I've been breaking through roughly once a week for the past few months and I've found this to be an decent consistency. Every 2 weeks would be more ideal for me however, but I'm still in my "honeymoon phase". I think about my experiences very often and consider doing more often, but when I do it more than once a week I can kind of "feel it" during your trip. Just a feeling of "I've been here too much lately". It's sort of a built in self-regulator in the experience. Also, I find my trips to be more enjoyable and more rewarding when I space them out.
It's all about finding that happy medium between your everyday life and your hyperspace travels. If you can regulate yourself, then it is possible to have a healthy and modest relationship with the spice. I can only speak for myself however.

It's all about finding that happy medium between your everyday life and your hyperspace travels. I get it. Naw if it pushed me back in some way that'd be phenomenal. I read that one guy on here did it every day for years! Perhaps that's why it hasnt landed in my possession. I've just used my friend's. Man I'm itching to get my own though.

Occasionally people go a little overboard. As with any drug, (or anything really) it has potentiall for abuse. It all comes down to the individual though. If the person using everyday is functioning perfectly fine in everyday life, then more power to them. Again, just gotta find that medium that works best for you and your life.
If you're interested in obtaining your own, I'd look into an extraction. It's quite simple, cheaper, and you learn about the plants and chemistry in the process. Not to mention you know exactly what you're putting in your body and you control the purity of the product. It's very rewarding! Look up "Norman's Tek", it's what I did the first time and had great results.

Ive read how to do it a bunch of times. Just gotta do it. My mentor/friend has a bunch if bark and he said 1 extraction can get you like a lifetimes worth. He'll teach me.
