i haven't posted anything on the nexus in quite some time so i decided that i would share my success so far at germinating my Iboga seeds Big grin

i ended up buying myself an Iboga seed pod from a trusted ethnobotanical seller in australia and upon opening it i found 11 brain looking seeds. the first thing i decided was to mix up my soil for these babies and ended up mixing 1 part potting mix 1 part fine sand and about a 1/2 part of course sand. i then took the sharpest knife that i had and went around all the seeds as deep as i could with out actually damaging the insides. the seeds were then sowed about 1.5cm in and then covered with dirt. this was on the 15th of august. and 33 days later my first seedling popped up with it's seed coat still attached

i left it for week to see if it would fall off by itself, it didn't so i attempted to remove it and was unsuccesfull Crying or very sad

a couple days later my second seedling popped up and it's seed coat was already half off,

the next day it fell off on it's own Big grin

now i have another 9 seeds i am watching and praying will pop up but if they don't im not to worried as when my little iboga seedling gets big enough i will start taking cuttings

1st pic is my first seedling

2nd pic is second seedling

and 3rd pic is second seedling after it dropped it's seed coat
