A few times I've had those scenes in trips were I saw places and people. They were like from long ago, from the past. Is it possible these are genetic memories? Experiences of people recorded in their cells and passed on through generations. Like the way collective unconscious is archetypical memory shared by a species, that genetic memories are typical to each individual.
However they aren't exactly autobiographical, but more scenic with landscape sceneries and representations of different individuals. In between there coudl be vivid depictions of pivotal moments that were lived through by those people.
Epigenetics. So gene expression by ways that don't alter the DNA sequence, more like switches on genes are turned on and off by experiences of your ancestors. This way certain conditions that arise through generations, like periods of famine or cold affect the way genes express themselves.
So does it stay with simple switches, or is there a more subtle dimension to it?
Suppose that visions of scenes and people ago are memories encoded in the cells, how do visions of them relate to the actual encoding itself?
Or is it a mistake to think this has to be physically encoded like the nucleotides themselves? Could it rather be on te electromagnetic level cells carry their data through the generations. Or is it rather the actual link through time of a cell and all it's predecessors?
I find these topics fascinating and would welcome a discussion
