Hey there! Just grabbed this in a store as a replacement for the million fail ways to vape spice.

My problem now is that I'm not getting the temperatures right now that I'm heating glass instead of metal. I always wind up with this chalky black mess and its driving me insane. Is there any pros out there with a tip or two on how to vaporize spice effectively?

SEriously you are assuming we understand what we are looking at. How is this thing suppose to work. If we understand it we may have some pointers.

Before you bought this have you read this thread and tried some of the easily described methods to get you broken through?

essentially it can connect to almost any pipe or bong and you heat the pyrex vile to the point of evaporation, I'm just not sure if I am under heating or over heating...

I have seen one of these, and I own the original Eclipse VAAAPP. These will work, but they are tricky and not all that efficient. I found the best way with one of these is to hold a torch lighter close to the glass vial (not touching it) and slowly move it back and forth, closer and further away, for a minute until the spice turns into a puddle and then vaporizes. As soon as it starts producing vapors start inhaling through the mouthpiece, and hold the heat source close until it no longer produces vapors. But really if you want a tip on how to efficiently vaporize DMT, here's an even better place to start:

You will see this repeated many many times on The Nexus. Freebase alkaloids are vaporized much more efficiently and effectively when using a device in which the spice is heated by contact with warm air, rather than glass or metal conducting the heat. Although I'm sure some disagree, there are hundreds of people on The Nexus that will agree when I say: try a VaporGenie, or better yet a Glass VaporGenie. I do not own one, but I have used someone else's and in mine and many other's opinion, it is #1 as far a vaporizing spice goes.

Also, this might be more accurately titled "Help regarding Vaporization" rather than "Evaporation".

Lol sorry its a frustrated 1:00AM question, but in your experience with VAAAPP you have gotten leeway with keeping a torch at a close distance without flame contact? Im just trying to get the best advice before I try again.

Get rid of that thing and use a simple sandwich method. Conduction heat is a sh#$ method and you will have more mis fores than luck while you figure it out. Its tricky and your gonna burn and waste your dmt over and over as you try and get it right.

I have more than enough spice to try all the methods but I've never had a breakthrough from the sandwhich method before, are there any common errors besides touching the flame to it?

Are you using a bong? Describe how your building your sandwich and smoking it. Or read the link I attached and see if your not missing something in your method.

Ok if sandwich is not working, which it should its pretty full proof. take some dmt on a glass plate and melt it with some heat just enough to make it melt not start to vaporize.

Take a pinch of parsley and rub it all into the melted dmt. work it in good and rub every last residue off the glass with the parsley.

Let dry. Load into a bong and rip it HARD! Puff tough! HOld that big ole hit in for no less than 10 seconds. I promise you you will launched.

If you do this and dont break through come back and tell me. Ill be shocked.

Yes, I have had great experiences with using a high-temp lighter close to the vial but not touching it. Although, I do agree that conduction is not the most desirable means of vaporizing, I have gotten it to work many times.
