Hi guys.

Over the last few weeks i have been wondering about other travelers thoughts on links between DMT use and Increased Morality. Before Swims first experience with DMT, Swim had been searching for the "answer" the where, why and how of life. Swim had been raised in a Methodist Christian family and had all ways been taught "Right/wrong" , treat others as you would yourself etc.
As Swim grew up he could not make his experience and observations of life and Humanity fit with the teachings of his youth. This led swim to research other Teachings and experiment with drugs etc. Trying to fill the void.

Since Swims first tried DMT, he feels his conscious has been more prominent. Its all most as though there is the little angel from cartoons telling him off when swim chose the "wrong" choice. The key "message" swim gets flashed through his head is that Humanity must change its goals and values in order for us to survive and prosper. Becoming more about the survival of the group over the individuals materialistic wants.

Swim has discussed this with his friend who gave him his first dose. He said he had experienced the same sort of feelings. The first time he did it he seemed very calm and very friendly compared to before. And as more time passes and he has not smoked any , he seems to revert back to his old ways.(i am aware a number of factors could affect this)

Swim does not know if he this is placebo style effect, swim had been forced to research DMT extensively before doing it.And this could of played into my subconscious expectations of what would happen ,.Expanding the underlying ideas and feelings swim have?

My question to the community is;
1) Has any one else experienced any thing like this after their first time?
2) If so what do you think causes it to happen?(is it the dmt itself or the shock of the experience)

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

What you speak of is fairly common in my own readings on things. It's also among the primary reasons I view DMT as a potential tool for improvement over a funky molecule that affords even funkier visuals.

Intent, one of the keywords often offered out, plays a nice role in this. If ones intent is to seek to improve and alter themselves for the better then with a bit of externalized research and study (doing the knowledge before you do the wisdom, so to speak) then one can better set a path to start walking down.

No surprises that best laid plans can go awry and when dealing with DMT this is a given, at some point or another. I feel seeking improvement of ones-self is a righteous use of the molecule and serves as a sound platform from which to dive in. Once one has taken a few journeys and integrated what they can, I feel it is likely that much more will unfold and many new fresh questions will rise up from within.

A good bonus to all this (imo) is that the journey itself does indeed seem to offer an extra "push" towards improvement of self anyways, even long after such initial wishes are replaced by a variety of gobsmacking things to mull over. I guess the main thing to be mindful of is not expecting instant permanent life changing things to happen (definitely not precluding it) and to ensure integration involves not just mental processes but improvement in the physical aspects also (if needed, I know they were and still are in my own body).

I agree with the above statements. In the very least DMT is very humbling, and reminds us how small (or big) we really are. That, together with the sense of unity we often have with the universe while on DMT makes us feel more universal with the world around us when "sober."

My morals I feel were always good, although they may not be exactly in line with what society deems as right as wrong. But DMT definately makes me understand why my morals are the way they are.

I have a few friends that I tried to get them to see what I see, but even after repeated journeys and continued on to their bad and evil ways. They are still heading for prison despite this voyage into the light.

So at the end, I believe there are a lot of factors at play. Intention when doing it... Merely doing it to get high will not always evoke the curing and psychological healing that DMT is capable of. I don't think it will always turn an evil mind into a good one. But for the ones that are open to experience all that DMT has to offer, they will live the life of kings.

As a clever twist of an ancient tome of wisdom as displayed here states "And even if thou wert the greatest of sinners, with the help of the bark of wisdom thou shalt cross the sea of evil" one could be inclined to half, if humorously so, agree..

As I am sure I have read also on here however "DMT does not cure being an asshole" (excuse profanity, I am guess-paraphrasing lol).

Intent, Set, Setting Thumbs up
