Take the time to spend some time with this beautiful gift.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Wonderful! I love Celtic music in general. I play all manner of tin whistles and the Irish flute.

I absolutely adore the harp. I have heard it on several lucky occasions in hyperspace. Sometimes gloriously arpeggiating, sometimes just trilling, and other times in full harmonic composition. I talk about one of my most striking experiences with the harp from hyperspace along with a link to a recording I made based on it.

not exactly a celtic harpist, but you might enjoy this:
an interview with andreas vollenweider who became a harpist (though he still plays many other instruments) when chasing an elusive "sound-vision" (presumably some form of synesthesia)

and here is some of his music:

Here are a number of harp videos I enjoy (not all celtic harp).

Maria Chiossi

The Chanter's Song (Celtic Harp Clarsach)

Lament for the Bishop of Argyll

Scottish Wire Strung Harp (one of the most beautiful harps I've ever seen - a real piece of art)

Carolan's Dream (excellent rendition)

And let's not forget about the Harp Guitar...and another one for good measure (Amazing Grace w/Mason Williams)

...and finally my favorite harp composition (albeit not celtic)
Concerto for Harp and Orchestra
[EDIT]: I especially like in the second movement (which starts at 11 minutes) starts to speed up around 17"30'.

WOW! I had no idea how much feedback this was going to get!

I have looked around my town and found two teachers of the harp. I will be contacting them and hopefully getting lessons. It's an investment but I have always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument and this one just rocks my soul on a different level.

Thanks for the video posts too! I am glad that others love this instrument also.

Being part Irish (and with large heritage connection) I do love me a good bit of Harp.

Some may say its derivative but I really can't resist this.. I mean you got talented femmes dressed in some "babes of days of olde" get up, rocking some harps atop of some old ruins... Genius Big grin
