I want to share my perspective with you guys

what makes dmt special though is that its not like meth or cocaine. they simply bombard your brain with pleasure stimuli and make you feel good for a fleeting moment.
I believe that for something to be worth while it must have an effect on the mind of the user, it should provide a new fresh perspective on life and everything in the universe, and this is what is amazing about psychedelics. they open the locked door of our imagination.

We have reason and imagination. that is what makes us different from other species. As kids we delved into the boundless realms of the imaginations, exploring reality in pure fascination and awe. but sadly, as we grow up, we get distracted, reality gets complicated. our sight blurs on what really inspires us because we have so many things to focus on and there is no time for philosophical thinking.

We become trapped in our conscious minds, reality becomes uninteresting, predictable. We tend to seek pleasure to alleviate the boredom. Everyone feels the need to fill the void within. What counts is by what.
for the fulfilling to be long lasting, it has to provide some goodness for the mind, not simply for the body. We strive to find the meaning of life, so that we make our lives matter. Some find the answer in religion, others in love.
The truth is that the whole universe is meaningless, or if there is meaning, it surely is beyond our comprehension. we know nothing compared to what we don't know, we are insignificant tiny bundles of atoms compared to the vastness of the universe, and yet we are everything. we make the universe matter. we create meaning out of the chaos.

Awesome first post and welcome to the nexus. Smile

I vibe very much with your existential sentiments.

Truly a conundrum. This life we live. Kinda hilarious when you think about it. On the physical level, we're so inconceivably small in relation to the scope of the known universe, yet when you plummet the depths of reality, the depths of consciousness, we are everything, truly...hilarious. The jokes on us.

What is your experience with the various psychedelics/etc? Once again, welcome to the nexus and we're glad to have you aboard. Thumbs up

much love,
tat

It is truly mind boggling when thinking about the human existence, and embrace all its paradoxes.
I ve read a lot about psychedelics and other drugs, and deeply pondered about the philosophy surrounding them. sadly I haven't got much experience. i ve tried marijuana and it made me pursue the subject even more. i will soon make dmt and try it out. i ve read a lot about it and it has awakened my curiosity. i l be sure to share my experience
and thanks for your insight ;]
